Since you like silver check out mine. Oddly enough it's not coated in silver but platinum.

So it was $33 and no change. I ended up giving the most expensive item to a scrapper. Because the "condition uncertain" was certainly not worth the time.

So why did they sell that hood for 3$ if it was worth 1500$ and another one 2000$?
It does not make sense, I understand this kind of business, but wouldn't there be competition trying to get all those that would keep sale prices up?

Actually these were complete hood systems with return air so their are generally 4 separate components to each. Except here they used two large return air units for all hoods. I sold 1 heated return air unit for $1500 and another for $2000. Heated return air is not required down south so I sell those off separately up North. The 7ft hood with ansul and exhaust fan sold a few days after I pulled them for $1400. The other three hoods with ansul and exhaust fans I still have and generally price at $200 a foot without the return air fans.

As far as why they sold for that? That I'll keep to myself.

I also neglected to mention and what generally ends up happening is one of the other buyers came unprepared (I have all of the equipment needed) so he paid me $500 to pull one of his hoods that day. Another bought 2 9ft hoods and only needed 1 and he was also unprepared. So I traded my 9ft for his two 9ft's for pulling his as well. The additional 9ft I sold before I left the site that day to another person.

So in all actuality I was already in green $xxxx before the day was up. In addition I ended up geeting to know the owner of the franchise while there who allowed me to pull many other items which I'm still doing. IE. the buyer of the walk ins backed out because it was too much work to get them out so I have my guys pulling them now.

Paully 12-25-2013 01:35 AM

What the fuck are you talking about? This isn't the homeless section of Craigslist. My bad. It really isn't right.

lagcam 12-25-2013 03:46 AM

I don't know about "GFY 2013 Poser" award, but I would certainly vote for Edgeprod for the "GFY 2013 unsolicited attack smackdown".

You have a nice home Edgeprod, and come over as an honest guy but if I were you, I would remove that video from youtube now. The guy you wanted to see it has seen it, and so have many people who can vouch for its existence in the future if you are ever questioned again.

You don't need to leave it up on youtube and risk undesirables who know or can work out the location of the house stumbling upon it.

No amount of bla blas will make anyone forget what happened in this thread man, you should probably be thinking of either putting up as Edgeprod did, or shutting up as anybody with any sense would.

But merry christmas anyway !

I'm not stupid enough to walk everyone though my home and valuables and post it on youtube, sorry. I do need to do a bit of a year end inventory of a real money making business so who knows maybe a vid in the future? I'm still not sure how edge is suppose to be making the millions he portrays himself to be because it surely doesn't happen being a coder or turning over 20k a month in silver. Which in reality was part of the point of this thread but also how he constantly brags about it. But yeah I got smacked down by a private island with cars in the drive and a boat out of water. I guess you believe in Santa too? Merry Christmas to you too.

So I cracked open one of the Ezra Brooks. Couldn't believe the reaction. Still sippin 55+ year old Kentucky burbon.

L-Pink 12-26-2013 11:37 AM

Not to be a dick, but, that's only 12-13 year old bourbon. Bourbon does all it's aging and flavor development in wooden barrels. Once placed in bottles or ceramic decanters like those pictured nothing positive happens to the whiskey no matter how many years it sits. Empty, those decanters are sold at local Kentucky gift shoppes for $15.00 to tourists.

What you have pictured is average 90 proof, 12 year old bourbon whiskey in a $15 dollar ceramic bottle made in china. No big deal.

This is correct. I'm a scotch man myself (bourbon isn't very complex or interesting in comparison), and letting the bottles sit is either neutral or bad, never good. I didn't want to sound like a dick, either, but had to chuckle a little.

Actually I would have thought the same but it has aged very well in the decanter. I was afraid of the cork being bad and ruining it but it wasn't. I did lose a few in transport due to corks. As far as price I guess it's a good thing I only paid $105.62 for 55 decanters in all. Needless to say I've already made my money back and then some. I won't be selling or trading any more that's for sure.. Best whiskey I've ever had.

What's even funnier is what you call scrap I call gold. That $33 has now made me over $8,000. Sold the 9ft yesterday. Edge would need to flip his $20k at least 4-5 times a month to do just that. Meanwhile I'm up early and off to buy up another restaurant on a Saturday. Actually may be two today as people need to get out by years end.

Don't you think it's time you kept my name out of your mouth? I don't know why you're implying I somehow have a silver business. The market took a nosedive, I saw an opportunity, and began parking money in the metal every month instead of in other investments. Pretty simple concept. I'm not running my ass all over buying up people's scrap and telling tales about what I sell it for. Maybe it's time to put down the $15 bourbon.

As I literally skipped through your video because quite honestly I didn't care. I stopped when you got to what I take is what you really wanted everyone to see. While I admit I didn't even listen very carefully I did read what you said here combined with what you said there which is what I gathered is your bread earner since you haven't said anything else.

I don't buy scrap. Scrap is a waste of my time and space although I know several people who make real good money doing it. If you haven't figured it out already I buy equipment from failed restaurants. There is no story telling. Why I'm successful in what I do is because I sell good quality equipment that I buy for pennies on the dollar and I don't have loads of overhead which allows me to sell lower than my competition. One of whom is now working for me.

My, 40-50 year old as if they came out this year decanter collection is just that, a collection. Let me know when you find 1 1960's or 70's Beam, Lionstone, or Ezra Brooks decanters for sale in their original packing still full of liquor much less an entire collection and I'll buy it if I don't already have it. All of which I likely paid less than original price. That is outside of me, but as I said after cracking one open that probably won't even happen since I've decided to drink the extras to the collection. Torn between Lionstone and Beam for New Years now.

What business reputation? What is it that you do to make your millions GFY balleraire? The only reputation I've seen already looks pretty tarnished. I guess you still don't get the entire point in this thread. You are in every other thread talking about how jealous everyone is of you and your viper that is obviously not as important to show over your safe of cash. Perhaps viper was reduced to safe cash?

I think this says it all right here. I can cut you some slack for sounding like you do, in light of this revelation.

Incidentally, I asked you what you specifically wanted to see, you didn't bother to reply, so I guessed. You keyed on my weekly silver buy and thought it was somehow a source of income instead of an investment. I guess that also explains why you valued it so far below its market value -- you literally didn't bother to look. It does make a lot more sense now. Thanks for clarifying, I guess.

A lot of the other things you've said are starting to make sense now, too. You read the headline, guess at what's in the article, then talk about it as an authority.

I'm sorry, but if you really don't know even the basics of how I earn my income .... wow.

Your last post convinced me that you're probably not even going to read a reply, so why bother? You just want to throw out random statements, then dance around any replies and spit out more assumptions. No big deal, most of us had no idea who you were before this thread, and now it's time to go back to that.

Nope, but most coders are reclusive. If I'm going to hire a coder from this board and I saw one bragging about his/her expensive toys all the time they'd be the last on my list because I would assume I would be getting billed the expensive toy owning price.

Program owners and marketing reps I'd expect this from. Being that, you would want to portray you're making money so others will follow. If you're trying to provide a service you need to be good and hungry. I don't want my refrigeration guy pulling up in a lambo. Hell I use to show up to mortgage closings wearing blue jeans and tshirts and my customers loved me for it because they were too.

Fuck! I just can't help myself. So I finally watched your vid. I've decided to write my own script. Let's see how good I am at scripting without even going back through the video. You just walked everyone your parents house. The clues? For starters the nieces bedroom. Sorry but I don't believe you the nice uncle has set his niece up with a bedroom. Who does this? Grandma. Especially when her son spends so much time overseas. Next up, brother in the service staying in the main house while on leave. And where are your most personal belongings outside of your safe including the computer with this thread? In the guest house. All of which leads me to believe you've spent all of your money (outside of safe cash?) from the autoblogger (I'll be nice here) ordeal and have moved back home with the parents. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I personally know at least one person who made millions a month in this industry who eventually moved back in with the parents. I will add that if he had listened to me he could have avoided that.

Yeah, I'm off to deliver another $20-$25 in cost "rock" (this piece was bought in a lot so have to guestimate cost) for $500 with a another $175 in cost "rock" (not such great returns on this one but I've only had it 3 days) for $500 in the pipeline on a Sunday. Gotta recover some of what I spent yesterday. Hell, I closed one deal after 10PM last night. But the owner was desperate and needing cash ASAP so I delivered. All in all today will be a good day and hit my average target of 5x my money.

How is the development going? Are you sure your parents didn't do like most and settle down in Florida for their retirement years? You have to admit my scenario is pretty damn good.

You're trying way too hard to convince me of your "success". It's not that I don't buy it, it's that I just don't care. We can discuss it over a beer in Vegas.

Sadly, my parents have ties to the rest of the family in CT. We've been begging them to move away from the harsh winters, but they're stubborn. It also relates a bit to my neice, which is a sad story I don't want on GFY.

Anyway, this part is important, so pay attention: I am formally asking you to publish a retraction to your false statements, with the same level of effort you put into making the erroneous posts. This will be my only such request.
