no sales in last 2 minutes, but got another sponsor click - this is looking fucking awful
glad you made this thread and I was able to see for myself this downswing - will report back in half hour with updated stats
how's everyone else's stats in the last 5 - 10 minutes? anyone else seeing the same?
I actually thought this was hillarious.
Since I encouraged him I will contribute to the topic. Monday and Tuesday sales were completely normal. Yesterday I noticed some sponsors with unusually low sales. Conversions were 5x worse than what they normally are. That being said, overall joins were still up.
I think its a weird time of the year for a lot of people. Financially, stuff going on with families, etc. Dating for me was down yesterday while webcams were way up. I'm sure there is some psychology behind it but instead of focusing on why or how things are affected. I prefer to concentrate on how to increase traffic overall / increase member retention. It seems like a waste of time to worry about something that you have very little control over.
sorry, was monitoring my internet speed (seems to be changing every 5 minutes - need to call my ISP) and forgot to check stats - had another sale, pps this time, but traffic has totally and utterly died in the last 30 seconds - need to run it by my host to see if surfers are backing out too quickly from my sites because of slower loading time than half hour ago, causing that dip in sponsor clicks.
Will call them out all over the board, along with my ISP, and electricity supplier (I'm sure they have a part to play in all this, maybe if others can post their lightbulb wattage, I can figure out if I need to switch to solar panels and thus cut out the middlemen) - will post back asap

I just don't check my stats anymore.. It's all a scam. When I receive money in the bank I just send it back. I don't want programs that I send my traffic to sue me for fraud. I still love the industry, but I will never take any money from it... Better live broke and in fear then cash my money and be happy.
I was wondering what was up. Sales do dip a few days before they roar back, about this time, every year. Its a trend, for us anyway for past 8 years. The weak before Christmas. pun intended.
That said, 3-4 days ago it was announced 45 million Americans had their credit card data swiped thanks to Target and sister companies from (11-27 to 12-15-2013). My guess, banks and porn buyers said, "adult, sales? High risk? fuck that shit...then they came to their senses an turned things back on...a bit.
Of course I am writing this from the future (Tokyo). How are things in the past?
Ok serious answer. I think you are doing too little sales to really see something. If flatline = zero that's saying enough to me.
You can correct me if I'm wrong ;)
You are wrong, and why would you only read my post and not the others in the thread?
Are you obsessed with me.
If you were not just obsessed with me, you would read the other posts from the other real webmasters who saw the sales stop on exactly the same day.
I cannot tell if you are sincerely trying to understand or if you just try to make a funny at my expense like everyone else.
The sales clearly stopped on wednesday dec 18th for multiple people
there is a common denominator that connects all of us who had sales just stop cold on wednesday december 18th 2013
it is not traffic, it is not affiliates, it is not the weather.
one day a cheesy rat will abandon the sinking ship and we will have our day.
If it were only us who had sales stop it would be nothing to consider the fact that some using 3rd party billers and some using a merch account are experiencing the same off switch tells me we have something in common!
Yes in fact I can confirm 10000% we all have something in common other than our sales stopping on december 18th 2013
We don't want to be missing any payouts do we cheesy rats....we better throw that switch at the right time.

What you have in common is something did or did not happen on the 18th. That is it.
For everyone who had bad days starting dec 18th there are plenty of people that have had good days since. Personally I am seeing mixed though above average results...
Unless you are doing 100s of sales a day any sort of day to day information you have is going to be useless.
That or there is a guy at Visa who had his wife cheat with a black guy and he hates you for it. Actually I am pretty sure that is the problem

If you do 50+ sales a day and you see zero sales for a few days than something is probably up yes. If you do anything below 10 it can just be bad luck. And yes that can happen with multiple webmasters at the same time.

I usually don't like to comment (anymore) in these types of threads but since I, too, noticed something dramatic I will comment here.
For the past 6 weeks sales have been outstanding. This is due to traffic increases, new websites, some differant marketing strategies and other factors like email marketing. That said, Sunday of this week (Dec.15) came and sales began to decrease (traffic was steady). By Tuesday Dec.17 sales were down 70%. While this means we were still doing some volume the change was dramatic and had me asking everyone I work with: 'what's changed?'
The answer, I think now after having read this thread and communicating with about 8 webmasters off-GFY, is what Captain Kawaii stated (thus why I quoted him). I checked my stats for mid-December for the past 5 years (as long as I have been in business) and see a similar pattern. Week before Christmas everything slows down.
So the "problem" here, I believe, is with VISA. Merch account, CCBill, Verotel, Epoch, it doesn't matter - if VISA says no then it's a no go. Plus, with Christmas coming mid-week this year (Wednesday) that means LOTS of last-minute shopping Mon-Tues so Visa is probably preparing for that. I also did not know about the Target situation Captain Kawaii mentioned so throw that in, too. My hope is sales return to "normal" beginning Sunday or before.
Hope this helps (probably not) but regardless: keep working, never ever stop.

no, he's right. When the total data goes that low any data can throw off averages and predictions go out the window for accuracy.
would be like predicting a baseball players avg based on 10 or less total at bats instead of 500+

UPDATE: Chase is limiting transactions. No conspiracy theory. I wonder how many other banks are? If you are getting a lot of sales now...be ready for chargeback ville.

Yeah guess what Captain there is another *trend* every year 1 week before x-mas
ask the good folks at zombaio about their yearly christmas trend 1 week before christmas
also ask verotel what made them decide to up and suspend a peasley payout of mine and nobody elses last week
then lets talk about trends some more its christmas time and cheesy rats in the middle of our transactons are short strapped for cash...so where do you look when cash is short???
You look at client accounts and put your cheesy rat thinking caps on and then you play fast and loose with your clients accounts
that is the dark secret all financial companies are covering up the many ways to juice and hen peck at client accounts to get momma a new pair of shoes.
you all sit here talking about a,b,c,d being the culprit....now we have even more webmasters who saw that sharp drop on december 17th and december 18th
and the problem still remains for me is form hits were very high that day and not a small fluctuation in sales but no sales sales were turned off
once we find out whos nubby fucking finger is on that switch and where that switch actually is then the saints can go wildly marching in and flip over that digital table that the virtual money changers sit at.
On my other transactions that are not associated with cheesy rats we had strong sales he only sector of my operations that flat lined was new membership sales...and they falt lined with plenty of form hits
somewhere there is a switch being thrown I have studied this longer than all of you combined...i know I what I know and I know those in the middle limit, restrict, nickel and dime, our transactions in a bid for day to day survival
they do what ever needs to be done to make payouts even if it means playing musical chairs or ring around the payouts
I always love watching people who's lives really depend on statistics, proudly putting the fact on full display that they have no basic understanding of statistics.
Then again, a delusional and bipolar mind has no need or use for facts and data.
. Yes, fewer illegal immigrants working equates to more job opportunities for American citizens.

Why are you still going on about this shit? Didn't Beaner hook you up with his 'amazing' new billing?
Sales remain flat and a "switch" definitely seems to have been flipped.
Traffic is strong, form hits strong - of course, it's Christmas Eve so maybe people are, you know, BUSY with family and travel and may not be able (or want to) sit there and fap with family around.....
Of course, does not explain the traffic remaining steady and form hits steady....ah well, maybe they are looking now and will fap/pay later.

Eh?
Are you saying you've never seen a spike around this time of year? my condolences...

No I have actually LOL. Just sayin', there are other reasons why sales flatline around Christmas, not necassarily a 3rd party biller's "fault".
It's funny tho, rebills remain strong so transactions are going through just not front-door sales so much. THIS tells me more than anything that people are simply busy with the Holidays, family, travel, cooking, etc.
