I just contacted my supplier of ammo

...for another 100 rounds of .50 cal for my rifle...and he was out and said he was having a some what difficult time keeping it in stock. It appears the .50 cal is getting to be quite popular. I wonder if it is because of more and more preppers?

It's not preppers, it's all these fear mongrels whom think the govt is gonna take their guns away, because a democrat is in office. It's the same reason the average price of a AK47 went from around $350 to $1000.

AKs on Black Friday were $399 with free shipping. It was fantastic. The SLR AK's are still 1000 but those have always been more expensive.

BS, unlike .22LR and 9mm Luger, large rounds such as .50 BMG and 338 Lapua are not constrained.

AKs were always cheap.. They were probably a better investment than gold, before their prices sky rocketed. They are coming back down though..

eh, AK's are at around $499 now.

Black Friday 2012 before Newtown, AK's were $299. Not sure how the democrats play into that since it was the lowest I had seen them in years.

Don't worry about the .50 cal. That shit's for losers. You want to kill the advancing horseback militia up close and personal. You could lay down some smoke and I'll give you some suppressing fire with a six five niner. Once you've sneaked into the woods and flanked them you can dispatch them one by one with a Kbar p22 Combat tac Knife to the throat. I'll pop off a few cannisters of C75 mustard gas and you can fall back to my position. Then it's Miller time, and some horse steaks for dinner. You probably just had a mental picture of this scenario, and made cream of wheat in your pants.

There is nothing political about what I said. It's very much fact. During the first few months of Obama's election the retard patrol rushed the gun shops buying everything that wasn't nailed down, there was usually a year wait for any sort of assault rifle as they were so back ordered. The prices are just now coming back into sane levels.

The most comical part, is even though Obama didn't take away their guns, they did it all over again after he was elected the second time. I'm quite certain both Gun shops and their lobbyist the NRA laughed all the way to the bank while pocketing record profits.

so you deny you politicized the topic by politicizing. i see.

not to mention adding in bs such as a year wait.

Call it what you want, I don't care, I'm just telling you why the prices spiked and why there was a shortage of ammo. We can pretend the prices skyrocketed and supplies dwindled due to the price of tea in China or you can accept the actual fact and that it was a very political reason for the cause and effect.

It's very simple, cause = Obama was elected and effect = gun nuts bought everything in sight out of fear he would take their guns away. How would you describe that in a non political way?

It's funny that someone that doesn't even know what the price of an Ak is today, must less 8 months ago, somehow thinks he knows what happened..

Here educate yourself...

as atom pointed out, there hasn't been the price issue you think and as i know, there isn't a shortage of ammo.

those links don't support your comments re: shortages and price increases, but they do support you politicizing shit.

i can point to anything and compare it to when obama was elected.

fyi, that's politicizing the issue.

before obama was elected i did not have grey hair, since obama was elected i have some gray hair- that means obama caused my gray hair.

see what i did there?

If you look atom's wording he said NOW. It's a year since Obama was elected, the supply is now catching back up and prices are coming down.

Why don't you ask atom, to tell you how much an AK47 was 8 or 9 months ago, since you are too lazy to look for yourself.. I said in my, post that prices were just now coming back to sane levels, hence they are under $500 again..

Also the year wait, was due to manufacturers not being able to fill the orders due to the high demand and lack of materials. Again educate yourself, I'm not even a gun nut and I know why there was supply issues..

there is no overall shortage of ammo.
What part of it's now a year after Obama was re-elected, do you not understand?

Also, I said any type of assault rifle not specifically AKs. AKs worth a shit were long ago imported to the US market and are usually sold on the used market as old surplus. I'm pretty sure no one is importing Russian AKs at this moment, but it might be wrong..

The year wait was for assault rifles made in the US. Ie the top manufacturers after Obama was elected and then soon after due to the sandy hook shooting, there was a year waiting times for new orders from many manufacturers in the US. This was the the estimated wait time given by the actual manufacturers. The wait time eventually fell out due to people trying to offload their guns at the sky rocketed prices. The bottom fell out and the demand eased..

Again this took place over the last year and we are now on the tail end, hence the reason you can once again buy with out the long wait and you rant paying $1k for a Ak or $2k for a AR..

Again educate yourself, quit being a lazy douche..

Yet another article you will ignore...as hear say..

Are you suicidal?
I feel obligated to ask, cause the only thing you seem to talk to is your gun

Obama is VERY pro gun. In fact he is constantly surrounded by people who are protecting him with guns. All the infamous mass murdering Marxists like Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin, Che Guevara, etc have been very pro gun as well. They just are not in favor of of their victims owning guns.
