Just wondering if anyone here has ever seen the Pink Floyd cover band Brit Floyd? They are coming to Montreal in April and I'm thinking about checking them out. Found this concert and they look and sound really good.

I've never heard of them, but took a look at the link you sent. I'm a big Pink Floyd fan and have seen David and Roger (separately) several times.

Not a big fan of tribute bands, usually. But these guys do a great job of recreating the nuances of Floyd's work. I suppose if the original band can no longer provide us with the live experience, it's good to see the music carrying on by skilled musicians who aren't trying to make it their own but indeed paying a carefully recreated tribute.

i have not seen brit floyd before, but seen the australian pink floyd a few times. they can sell out the O2 arena in the uk (28,000 people!!) so are good, but also noticed that brit floyd played the royal albert hall - so to generate enough people to cover the cost for that indicates they are good.

i also saw a very small floyd tribute band, "off the wall", a few weeks ago in a pub in sussex, they were amazing - only abour 100 people but a great gig!!
