SCAM ALERT: Steve Howe aka ADIDAS aka sunlightcontent.com

I really really wish it wouldn't have come to this but endless frustration has led me to posting bringing this warning to the boards.

This guy apparently scammed many people in the past so PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CHARACTER.

Details:

I had about 17 DVs sent out to Steve in order to be encoded. Date sent out: Dec 3rd.
Steve requested prepay for the first batch. No problem. I assumed he was straight up due to him owning the content site and some people doing biz with him ( BIG MISTAKE!)

Paypalled: $950.

Second batch sent... and paypalled $650.

This was 3 fucking months ago. 3 fucking months!!!! After endless excuses, sending a wrong set of encoded content via wrong carrier to wrong address (blamed on his assistant) and countless phonecalls to his house where either him, his wife, his mom or whoever had to come up with excuses where he was, why my content wasn't shipped etc.., I have finished trying.

I am on the phone with VISA and Paypal to have the transactions reversed. If they won't, then I will pay whoever takes the time to visit Steve Howe at his Imperial, CA, US residence and collect this $1700 for me.

I am in contact with others who promoted his program including the guy who was actually running it for him(who was never given a cent either) and no one has recieved anything yet..krome's last communication via gfy 2 days ago was when he told me "why dont you check your mail". I finally got my tapes back last month. The only way I could get a response was to plaster my complaint over multiple message boards, including his own. He removed the thread from his board but at least he contacted me. I did not get everything we had agreed on but I did get my masters back and that was the most important thing to me.

After that pain in the ass...I will NEVER outsource an editing or encoding work again.

When he offered to do it cheaper than it cost me in my time then it became worth it.

That is pretty much what most outsourcing is about.

I am doing them all on my own now. They are done to my exact specs and the finished product is better quality then when Steve did it.....It just takes a lot of my time.
