    Pin # for online transaction?

At first I LOL-ed when I got an e-mail from a guy a few weeks back who claims the bank called him and asked him for his pin# to verify and online transaction with my payment processor 2co sounded like somebody was fishing for his pin# and I told him not to give out the pin for any reason, he went ahead and purchased without following my advice and the payment went through no problem. Today another, completely unrelated guy comes with the same exact story only another bank?!? The bank is actually asking him to verify his pin# and he forgot his pin and is going to the bank to get a new one issued...

Is it possible that there is some sort of secondary "online" pin and not the one used at ATMs?? I mean it cant be that banks now call you and ask for your pin??? This is just what I needed to fuck up sales on high ticket items, I would never give out my pin over the phone...

anybody heard anything like this before???

its only for high ticket items in the 1000$+ range , thank god its not for the normal sales this would hurt business a lot...shit i hope they have the brains to realize they should not do this with sub 200$ transactions for example...
