it's a sticky wicket though right? who or what gets to decide? the church tried to ban science 500 years ago. i agree a lot of people have died and shit destroyed in the name of religion, it would *seem* to very much make sense....but i'd bet some scholars could school us both on all the good religion has done over time as well, it certainly can't all be bad.
