Just because a couple of states made it legal doesn't mean it was illegal to begin with.

California can make breathing air "legal" and it doesn't make it illegal suddenly in other states. It's a "gray area". I suppose that a local DA could get stupid and start charging people with prostitution. But it wouldn't hold up.

I've seen plenty of production studios in states around the country.

Matter of fact I started my porn career as male talent for a company in Charlotte N.C. in the early 1990's. He not only had a full production studio (with film cameras...it was old school), but he had a business license and the full blessings of the city council.

Some producers will have young models read off their zodiac sign as a quick check to see if they are lying.

I remember a few years ago I was working with this guy who had a 21 yo cousin trying to hook up with a 16 yo in Michigan. The mom caught on to it and threw a fit, she threaten to get the cops involved and worse. A huge cloud of dirt and smoke rose up, I'm not completely sure of the details in that time frame but when things cleared the 21yo was with the 36yo mom.
