How about a lost/stolen ID database in open access?

I've paid by check for this exact reason for years. In fact, I think I've paid cash only 3 times. Any time I see a recruiting ad that says they pay cash on the spot, it sends up a red flag. :2 cents:

Depends. About 15 years ago, two gentlemen met two girls at the Roxy (formerly the Roxy Roller Disco) in Chelsea, NYC. All four left together, went back to one of the guys' places and everybody got busy.

The next morning, when the two 15-year old girls went home, they got in trouble for staying out all night. You can guess what happened next - the two guys got arrested for statutory rape.

In what is still known as the Roxy Disco Defense, the gentlemen were acquitted at trial, because they said everyone needed to show ID to enter the club, so they assumed the girls were at least 21. Didn't matter that the IDs were fake - it's called detrimental reliance.

Now, I don't know what standard record keepers in Adult are held to in determining whether an ID is real or not. But if they accepted the IDs in good faith and they weren't depicting the girls as underage, I'd stand my ground and take it to trial.

That has to be one of the most slanted articles I've ever read.

This is true but you would be surprised how lax some are.

True story: a girl came in to shoot for us and the ID she tried to use was fake. How did we know? The back said in big bold letters "FOR NOVELTY USE ONLY."

She obviously wasn't shot and the shoot was canceled. She didn't understand what the problem was since the ID she tried to use was good enough for 'blah blah' porn company, with whom she already shot several scenes with.

Now mind you, 'blah blah' porn company is a huge outfit. Pretty shocking how they couldn't even be bothered to look at the back of the ID.

Most fake IDs can be caught, the ones that are hard are the girls who use friends/ family members information (address, DOB etc.) to obtain an ID with their picture. But if you're smart and know the right questions to ask, you can trip them up.

Just because a couple of states made it legal doesn't mean it was illegal to begin with.

California can make breathing air "legal" and it doesn't make it illegal suddenly in other states. It's a "gray area". I suppose that a local DA could get stupid and start charging people with prostitution. But it wouldn't hold up.

I've seen plenty of production studios in states around the country.

Matter of fact I started my porn career as male talent for a company in Charlotte N.C. in the early 1990's. He not only had a full production studio (with film cameras...it was old school), but he had a business license and the full blessings of the city council.

That had to be one very good looking fake ID. I've no doubt Bang Bros and Reality Kings double check the girls' age.

Some producers will have young models read off their zodiac sign as a quick check to see if they are lying.

I remember a few years ago I was working with this guy who had a 21 yo cousin trying to hook up with a 16 yo in Michigan. The mom caught on to it and threw a fit, she threaten to get the cops involved and worse. A huge cloud of dirt and smoke rose up, I'm not completely sure of the details in that time frame but when things cleared the 21yo was with the 36yo mom. :)
