Online Gambling about to get legalized

Have been recently in touch with somebody who has several years of hands on experience in running gambling sites and just launched a brand new online poker platform. As I checked into the project i found it quite intriguing.

Somehow surprised as for how one pays out 30 pct. of the gross deposit to affiliates with billing, promotional and operational costs on top of it. Some of which are also directly related to the gross amount of money deposited (and which is far from revenue as this is a two way game).

There are also upsells to third party gambling products to make for some extra revenue. However, doing simple maths would say one needs to keep the ratio between payouts vs. deposits at about 1:2 just to maintain a positive cash flow.

Also, the news say that certain states (NJ, Nevada) are planning to legalize.

Your thoughts? Anybody succesful in pushing gambling?

We'd all like to think so.. but someone who was arrested 10 years ago in Colorado for selling Marijuana and had all their assets seized cant sue the state government to get their stuff back because there is now a legal distribution system in place in that state now.. So it's kind of screwed up.. but I do agree, there should be some kind of recourse...

I know a couple of guys who make some pretty serious coin pushing gambling sites, but I've never touched it. Since I don't gamble, I didn't even really realize it was a "thing" until all the hoopla about it becoming illegal here in the US.

Yeah, it would work just like my case did because it's exactly similar :

I was convicted and executed for my crimes; but ten years later my state outlawed the
death penalty.

After the state changed the law, I sued those fuckers and made them bring me back to life.

I got my life back plus a laptop and have been a jail house webmaster ever since.

its just, weed has 'always been a crime'.. so it's hard to compare to gambling, which was legal ten years ago.. and about to be again

strange

http://www.ultimatepoker.com/ is the first legal US poker site. You can only play if you live in Nevada.

Same is true for what New Jersey is doing. You can only gamble legally if you live in that state.

I think the lotteries are working on apps too. I consider that internet gambling. Don't know if that is already on the table.

If you break the law you broke the law. Just because what you did is now legal does't change the fact that you did in fact break the law.

Gambling online is legal. Just not in the US (most states). The way that money is made in poker games is called a 'Rake'. Every hand there is a small % that goes towards the house. So lets says if the rake is 2.5%. On a hand where someone wins $1000, $25 of those dollars goes to the casino. Any online casino will take between 2.5-5%. There is plenty of money to be made this way if you are a company that has 1000's of players playing 100's of games at a time.

What are the legalities of promoting a casino?

I would guess it would be ok if you lived in Nevada? But what about other states.

I have it on VERY good authority that it will be legalized in at least 3 states, probably 5 in the next few months. We're putting some measures in place to be able to capture this market at Traffic Force, we expect the demand to be huge.

I have been gambling using Scottrade. Exciting times when treasuries are considered risky now.

I used to do custom work for some gambling operator before USA banned all in 2006 and USA was like 60% to 80% of the revenue - now I hear how much is the non-US sales of some operators and USA legalized would be then - several, many $billion worth.
Advertising cost for US traffic in porn sites would double - Manwin would be saved etc.

Online casino gaming is currently legal in Nevada. Will become legal in New Jersey and Delaware on November 26th and should be legal in California and Pennsylvania within a few months and I'm sure many more states will follow in 2014.

Great news. Gambling converts like crazy and does a lot of money.

I wish I had more time to build more sites for Casinos and Poker. One single sale can leave you thousands and thousands of profit. It's fucking amazing. Can't believe how much money people put there.

Soon I will probably put 1 full month to work on more Casino and Poker sites.
