We have 2 people in Manila and they say things there are not so bad. They both seem to have electricity and internet. But some of the more Southern areas are his pretty bad.

The guy is 50 years old, his risk taking has now brought burden on others added to this, now he will have to be evacuated taking yet more resources from others that had no choice in being there. What he did was not just take a risk, but took needed resources away from others in an emergency situation, because he was too hardheaded or arrogant to cancel his vacation.

This was a cat 5 storm and known to be the biggest or one of the biggest storm in recorded history. This was known days in advance. There is no excuse acceptable for this guy to have gone there for a fucking vacation.

By that logic though, no planes should have even landed, at all, in the Philippines. Actually, no planes should have landed in the Philippines, I blame the airlines for carelessness.

Good to hear he is ok though.
