Initially I contacted the big agencies, but I kept experiencing talent arriving way late or canceling at the last minute, and agents that tried to do things like substitute a non-Asian for an Asian (when I was shooting exclusively Asian scenes at the time), so that I finally determined it was much easier for me to deal with talent one-on-one. In any case, I know several owners and booking agents of other production companies in the Bay Area, and we freely swap contact info with trusted people, share crew, etc. E-mail me what you are looking for and I may be able to help.
