The one that gets to me the most, I was wondering around Amsterdam in the middle of the night, a few years ago, thinking of my mother, who was in Holland during the pre war years. Wondered if she ever passed on these streets when she was a child.

In the morning when I got up to have breakfeast, stopped at a random restaurant, been sitting for a bit, waiting for the order. When a song came on, the same one I played for her, on her deathbed.

There were over 15000 cameras of that type for sale on amazon that day, what are the chances?

Anyone else have oddities of similar caliber?

People in the Philippines love karaoke. The country is full of karaoke bars, and singing is a large part of their culture. In some places, the term ?videoke rage? has been used to describe deaths. In one case, 29-year-old Romy Baligula was shot to death by a security guard after he wouldn?t stop singing the song. The song has been known to spawn riots and many people refuse to sing it because of the trouble it might cause.

One of the oddest coincidences ever recorded spans a period of nearly 200 years and involved three ships that sank in the Menai Strait of the coast of Wales. The first vessel went down on December 5, 1664, and of its 81 passengers, only one survived, and he was called Hugh Williams. On December 5, 1785, 121 years later, another ship sank in the Menai Strait, and again, all of the passenger perished except one ? named Hugh Williams.

Two ships sinking in the same area on the same day of the month certainly is not earth-shattering, but when each of them have only one survivor of the same name, it gets a little eerie. But the story does not end at that.

On December 5, 1860, yet another ship, a small 25 passenger vessel, sank in the Menai Strait. And once again there was only one survivor ? and once again his name was Hugh Williams.
