    Yasser Arafat Was Poisoned

    Swiss Scientists Say They Found Lethal Level Of Polonium In Palestinian Leader's Body



    Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat was poisoned to death in 2004 with radioactive polonium, his widow Suha said on Wednesday after receiving the results of Swiss forensic tests on her husband's corpse.

    "We are revealing a real crime, a political assassination," she told Reuters in Paris.

    A team of experts, including from Lausanne University Hospital's Institute of Radiation Physics, opened Arafat's grave in the West Bank city of Ramallah last November, and took samples from his body to seek evidence of alleged poisoning.

    "This has confirmed all our doubts," said Suha Arafat, who met members of the Swiss forensic team in Geneva on Tuesday. "It is scientifically proved that he didn't die a natural death and we have scientific proof that this man was killed."

                                  They found Polonium in his body. Does this mean he was poisoned, or does it mean someone somewhere along the line was working with a dirty bomb? This is something found in nuclear reactors, and was used in the making of the first atomic bombs dropped on Japan. It's also been commonly used to poison people.

                                  Polonium also is found in small amounts all around us such as photographic plates, textile mills, paper rolls, sheet plastics, and on substrates prior to the application of coatings (such as automotive). (Got that bit from Wikipedia.)

                                  Not saying he wasn't poisoned - lots of people wanted him dead. I'm just saying it could have been a poisoning, someone working with a dirty bomb, or the fact that he painted a car in his garage without wearing a mask.

                                      They also didn't keep a solid chain of custody. That fucks the whole thing up folks. Sad but what can you do. Same thing doomed the OJ trial. Detective took OJ's shoes and a vial of blood home in the trunk of his car and wouldn't you know that later tests showed his blood on those shoes? Useless evidence because he pulled that stunt.

                                                                                                              Where did you live in the UK? There were loads of Jewish people in the town I grew up in, never got any abuse. That was saved for the gingers.

You realize that there would have been a TON of different groups that would have an interest in seeing him die, right? We are taking a report based on samples from a 10 year old body with no certifiable chain of evidence and no idea as to whether or not the samples were tampered with, and now, not only are your sure that he was murdered, you are also sure that it was done by Jews.....

It was a bad turn of phrase on my part. I was not condoning murder, I was pointing out that if it was, or was not murder, he certainly was not someone that humanity should mourn. Murder is obviously a crime.
