The EU is similar in size and economic power, and yet I never hear of a porn company making half of their sales there. Do we have big groups of paysites in Italian or French? It seems like the industry is heavily waited to the US consumer.

I think earlier in the Internets history Americans had easy access to credit cards and were more willing to use them...
Even now we have a different attitude to using credit/debit cards here in the EU - We are way more cautious - You need to develop more of a relationship with surfers to build trust.....

We do very well in Europe and US sales are less than 50%.
People in Europe buy cams. The Europeans will buy paysites too but their tastes differ from the "American message." Maybe that is why you say what you say?
However, I just see the US sales as a market. For that matter, there are 126 million people in Japan. The adult male in Japan has one of the highest average spendable incomes in the world.

I was wondering same but it seems there is no "universal" rule,which means you cant target all markets with same approach.Once someone said how french people will leave english site because they cant jerk off on english language.
Another thing what plays role is from where content is,apparently to target specific country you just need to also have models from that country.It's kind a crazy how some companies banking on one country and on other cant make sales no matter what simply because of geographic origin of models.Comment

Every country in Europe needs to have it´s own unique approach. It´s fairly tricky to get it right and it´s simply tons and tons more work but it´s worth it.
Currently the majority of our sales are actually European but that has mostly to do with our product portfolio.
