Solo girl site

A girlfriend of mine wants to make her solo website, and don't know actually what informations and things she will need, about processing companies, member area plugs .. please do you have any advices? let me know, i will appreciate ..

In 2013 I would tell her to setup a account on MFC or other camsite that allows them to build a custom page and sell clips, etc. rather then trying to make a solosite work or she should get with one of the bigger programs that run solosites.

Hi Magusdaex,

Please let her know that starting her own solo site can be a fun, educational and profitable experience. The best thing that she can do is to "just start". Yes she will make some mistakes along the way but fortunately for her there is a huge network of people doing just what she wants to do, and most people are happy to share successful strategies, and to help steer her clear of potential mistakes along the way.

There are many directions she can take, and each have pro's and cons.

For example:

She could pose for pictures and then partner with an existing program. This can work out well enough except that ownership of her content is usually lost to the program owner. She becomes just another girl in a sea of girls and is paid a "commission" for the sales. The thing to look for are details in the contracts, termination clauses, content ownership and copyright, etc.

Another thing she can do is remain completely independent, and work her butt off. She can pose for her own pictures and shoot her own videos and even do live video chat on her own website. This can be hard to do because it means she has to do alot of the work (building her site, editing her videos etc) all on her own (or hopefully with your help), but the payoff later can be fantastic. By retaining ownership of her content, her name and domain name, and by forming the best contacts that help her with her true goals, she or anyone else can become truly independently successful. It may not be easy but nothing truly worth it ever is.

Building your own solo site and running your own program is A TON OF WORK!

also make sure she has something different going on, to be successful your going to need some kind of niche.
