I would prefer to live somewhere in the modern "communistic" Chinese city (e.g. Honkong, Shanghai or even Beijing) now rather than in "free and democratic" Berlin or Hamburg of 1980's :2 cents:

Yes, in Moscow, 10 years after and even 10 years before you were born things were much better because you were given a chance to use what my nation had produced.

People getting so worked up because a guy has fond memories being a part of of what is comparable to boy scouts or something similar.

He was also the man who said something like "those who do not mourn the death of the soviet union have no heart,... those who want to go back, have no brain"

Must be a slow news day or everyone is getting tired of babbling about Tubes, Snowden and Obama Care.

Bunch of COMMMIE PINKOS!!!

Pinko? I always wondered why so many of my American cousins and uncles used that term - pinko, and finally just now googled it...

Pinko is a slang term coined in 1925 in the United States by Time Magazine to describe a person regarded as being sympathetic to communism, though not necessarily a Communist Party member. It has since come to be used, derogatorily, to describe anyone perceived to have leftist or socialist sympathies.

The term has its origins in the notion that pink is a lighter shade of red, a color associated with communism. Thus pink could describe a "lighter form of communism", purportedly promoted by supporters of socialism who were not themselves actual or "card carrying" communists.

Well there we are, now I know.
