And the duct tape, I put it there and told my girl to put it back everytime she uses it so it doesn't get lost, if the duct tape isn't on the desk I wanna know where it is! You never know when you're gonna need duct tape, it fixes everything!

I just got a desk sort of like Dawgy's, except the top is tempered glass. Here's a pic, in which you can't really tell that it's an L-shape like his because my fucking apartment is too small for me to step away and really get a good picture.

I have a big basket just for that under one side of the desk...aside from shit that my daughter brings to me, there's crap my CAT brings to me. She'll wander in and plop down at my feet with a ball of wadded up paper or a hair elastic or a small, slobbered-upon item of Barbie clothes and I have to take them away from her before she either chokes on it or makes an even bigger mess of it than she already has. Then she sulks and howls for a few minutes because I took her toy. We call them "prey-pretties", instead of play-pretties, because she rags em around like she's trying to kill a mouse by snapping its neck...

What really gets me is when the hubby is walking by and says "Oh look! A party!" and comes in too... Just lovely having 10 legs other than your own in the bathroom while you're trying to discreetly wipe the twat... *sigh*

It's actually a bonus room above my garage. Was pretty much nothing but attic storage space when I bought the house. Can't beat the morning commute either - like 5 seconds from the bedroom to the office!
