![]() I've got a few companies that I manage their search business and well, it's becoming a headache to deal with.
Two use Google Apps, as well so do I, however another one uses their hosting companies junk email provider and the other uses Rackspace because they think they need to be on exchange. Therefore, I've got people trying to make appointments and schedule events and have no way to create a shared calendar amongst everyone with ease. Before I lose my mind, anyone have a suggestion? Right now I have 4 calendars setup in Google for me and three of the companies that hired us, yet when an event is setup, I need to then go into the "default" calendar and create a new one that is shared between the others. This morning, I got an invite for a meeting at 2pm EST, which I accepted -- however I was out getting lunch. 15 minutes later I get another invite for 11am PST (2pm EST) from someone else... since I didn't have time to setup the default one, they had no clue that time wasn't available. It's not just with calendars, but that seems to be the biggest deal. Any suggestions on what to do? I think more importantly is managing email, that is NOT in Outlook. I really like Gmail and can pull in other mail, but seems that it doesn't sync well when on a mobile device. ![]()

So with our own email, we use Google apps for biz. It's actually decent and works well, I have no complaints. However, one other agency that we provide service to is requesting that we use emails with their domain, in the event a client needs to send something. That quickly turned into how they communicate with us. It more turns into me as I am the one doing a lot of the management and strategy for their campaigns. Now I have three Google accounts, all business, and one on Rackspace email and one using some crap email that came with their server. Right now this kind of works on Outlook, but if they are not using Outlook, they can't see a calendar. I have a shared calendar in Gmail that I send out and as long as I am signed into that account and accept invites, it populates there. Then, others can view my availability -- problem comes more into when I'm on a mobile device. The goal is to avoid the "are you free at this time?" emails that I get on an almost daily basis. Likewise with email, I can sync my main Google apps account to PULL in other emails, as well send form there, but then I have to use the shitty Gmail app on my iPhone, which doesn't tie into the calendar app, tasks, etc. To much shit falls through the cracks and trying to put a stop to it, this is one thing I need to resolve.
