Fucking HP

Had Costco refill my ink cartridges and now my printer won't take them. Says counterfeit and empties them. Bastards. Off to the store to buy more ink..

I'm not sure how this is legal.

Its like saying you must by gas from Exxon when you buy your car, or your car wont run. I think they realized they can't make any money selling their printers, so they gouge you on ink.

I like the way it looks like a new printer is only a few bucks more than a set of cartridges, until you find the ones they ship with are half full

Last week, it was revealed that printer ink costs more than three times as much as Dom Pérignon champagne. A bottle of the luxury vintage bubbly retails for around £109, or 15p per millilitre. A set of replacement cartridges for a home printer costs £45, which works out at 51p per millilitre. It is possible to buy a perfectly adequate printer for £35, making it less valuable than the ink you fill it with.
But are there other examples of everyday substances or services with astronomical pricetags? And is there anything that can make printer ink, let alone vintage champagne, look cheap in comparison?
1 Chanel No.5 is 79 times more expensive than Dom Pérignon champagne

It's because there is HUGE MONEY in ink cartridges. One reason why printers are so cheap now is because they make alot more on the ink and toners you use to print. And of course HP only wants you to buy HP.
