Totally trustworthy website.

I took their poll and it tells me that 66% of their viewers believe the Democrats are at fault for the government shutdown.

http://pages.townhall.com/campaign/b.../POP/thank-you

Sure sure.

It is? When I can log in (which I can't do right now because it's down) I get nothing but an error message... Other than not being able to edit my "profile" which has less information there than any profile I've ever filled out anywhere.

Okay, I read the article. Doesn't seem to offer up any proof. It puts up a lot of links to a single Washington Post article that also does't seem to have any hard numbers or facts.

Wow, total trainwreck. I was able to create an account in less than three minutes.

So let me guess - all of the fucking horror stories I've been hearing about this website... Are bullshit aren't they?

I knew it.

I spent more than 2 hours on it the other night only to be told my information was incorrect.

The same information I pay taxes with. The same information I bought a handgun with 2 days before.

Wow, fucking amazing.... Do you mean to tell me that in under five minutes I was able to select from a long list of healthcare plans?

(I am guessing this is per person?)

It did stop and prompt me to verify my address really - I live on a "circle" and the street address it had in the system was "Cir" instead of "Circle".

Also... In all honestly... When I go to the government site, it pushes me over to another site called "Covered California". I am guessing this makes a huge difference. But for me it's very easy.

How does the average person wade through the actual fine print in those 23 plans? Are insurance companies allowed to have fine print that bounces your claim under this new plan?

Look people the answer is plain and simple. If you are confused by ObamaCare. Visit Canada and see things much more clearly.

CA is running their own site... My state is run by healthcare.gov..

It has finally refreshed to login. The error is gone for now but it has been on and off. Once logged in I get "click here to view your eligibility results" and it prompts me to download a pdf. Once I download it more or less says it will eventually have something there. I can only assume a pdf application.?.

I've had Kaiser before, they are great, and at $120 that's a steal.

Whilst I don't profess to understand US politics and if Obamacare is that bad then presumably the Republicans will get in 2016 and can adjust accordingly but for Christs sake is it worth causing another 2008 ? I'm sure you would raise the debt ceiling and find the money if Iraq started nuking Israel. It's funny but the US is starting to look like Chesters Mill. I don't make these comments in jest I want you to sort it out.

States had an option to make their own exchanges. The more conservative states typically refused to make their own so they were grouped under the federally ran exchange.

So once again republicans refuse to take an option offered to them so they can just complain instead

No one is sure if Obamacare will work or not. So far, it's a huge gamble. But honestly, we aren't any better without it.

I don't think the Republicans can shoot it down - we need healthcare. It's going to be better to fix it than start from scratch.

Atleast we know you make less then 45k a year and probably a lot less.

Or you wouldn't like it.

The people who make 40-44k a year that are single guys get fucking owned by obamacare.

My state opted to forgo it on their own because they sent a series of questions regarding it to DC and they went unanswered.

Many states are doing their own thing. Oregon is as well and they announced more than a month ago that there will be a delay in online signups of a few weeks while they make sure they have the bugs worked out. You can still call and set up an appointment though to go see someone in person.

Nevada has it's own website as well.

Looks like all the states were able to do it right. But the Federal govt. spent hundreds of millions of dollars on a bad software (I still can't figure out how you spend 600 million on a website)

This one's for you.

http://news.yahoo.com/army-5-billion...-politics.html

When there is a bottomless pit of cash, called the tax payer, why bother running anything efficiently. If these crooks actually had to pay for things like a business does, they would be out of business in a heartbeat.

I'm curious if you have figured out what the backend costs will be. Such as deductibles, what happens in case of catastrophic illness etc.
