The UK does a bunch of good takeout food. Pizza, is not one of them and you aren't going to find mom and pop pizza shops many places. Believe it or not, Pizza Hut and Papa John's is about as good as it gets.

Yes, I've had several friends over here visiting from the UK over the years who've all said much the same. One buddy from Scotland was so delighted by our huge variety of pizza shops here he nearly went crazy with it. The entire time he was here that summer he must have eaten 100 pizzas.

I'm half surprised no one has thought to go over there and start up a decent local pizza shop of the like we take for granted here. They'd make a gazillion dollars.

Pizza Hut.. they spend so much time, money, and energy coming up with these stupid fucking gimmicks, when all they really gotta do is make a decent fuckin' pizza.

Actually called Biergarten and it is an oddly good sports bar with German/Korean fusion dishes. Kimchee replaces kraut in a lot of dishes, as an example. Their German fried rice is pretty good but their short rib gravy poutine with tempura fried fries and German blue cheese is ridiculously good.

oh yah, i've seen that place. i'm not so sure that sounds very good tbh. i'm not the gravy on fancy french fries kinda chap. :1orglaugh don't get me wrong, i like fancy foods but....

anyhoo, have you been to art walk? every food truck in la la shows up, talk about fusion..

you can usually find me at the flying pig eating a crab ball or 6
