My dad is trying to ruin my moms life. How do I get back at him? SERIOUS MATTER, HELP

Hi. My mom and dad have lived together forever. He has ALWAYS been abusive to her mentally for as long as I can remember. She has left him 3 times and always went back. I feel very bad for her, but she just is so nice and naive that she feels sorry for my dad.

well, now my dad is kicking my mom out of the house! This son of a bitch owns 2 shops and a house, and he is divorcing my mom, but he has told me and several other people that he would die before he gives my mom a cent of his money! He is true scum, and I am very pissed off right now. My mom is 60 (dad is 62) and she doesnt own a single thing. She has given her whole life to this man, and he is treating her like this. If he could kill her and get away with it, there is no doubt in my mind he would do it (but he is coward and going to jail scares him very much, as cops got called on him one time and he almost cried)

I have had it. I want to ruin his life for what he has done to my mom, and what he is going to do to my mom. He also mentally abused me as a child as well.

Physical confrontation is out of the question, I don't want to go to jail for this cocksucker. He is very greedy, and money means everything to him, so the best way I can get back at him is by taking away his money.

Now, obviously, in a divorce, my mom can get 50%. The problem is, he has been lying on his tax returns for the past few years, making it seem like he is losing money, when he has been making money. Also, the house and the 2 shops he has, I am afraid he may put them in someone else's name when it comes to divorce or try and hide his assets. He is VERY SHREWED when it comes to hiding assets. Good news is I have access to his house, so I can go in anythime and get documents that he has and copy them, things like bank statements, tax returns, etc.

how do I get back at him? What documents should I get a hold of when it comes to a divorce so my mom can get her share? I want to ruin him financially. If you only knew what this man has done to my mom (who is the most wonderfull and loving person on earth) you would want to kill him. He is true scum. All suggestions will be helpfull.

yes, i am asking for advice. the kind of advice i need, i cant exactly call a lawyer and ask about now, can i?

my mom is defenseless. she doesnt have anyone else to help her. if i dont help her, she is gonna be homeless at 60 years old. i will have her come live with me if she has to, but nothing would be more of an injustice then this man kicking my mom out and keeping everything he has while my mom who still loves him gets nothing

I've heard that (people) your mom should go see all the the good lawyers in your area because if she has gone to them before your dad they can not represent him in divorce hearings after meeting with your mom. I could be totally wrong but maybe someone else here knows the facts on this.

Anyways if she does this it will leave him with having to go farther away to find a good lawyer and your mom will not have such a hard time getting money if he doesn't have the best lawyer around. since she already spoke with them about representing her.

This could be a good start... and good luck to her...

thats interesting. i will look into this. i am willing to pay good money to a lawyer, but i also want to make it easier to dig up dirt on my dad. he is very parenoid, doesnt trust anyone, so it may be hard for a lawyer to come up with the info he needs on his property. anything i can do now before the divorce to make it easier on the lawyer? i can access most of his documents at home. what should i look for?

The best way to help you mom is

                    1, Get her a Lawyer
                    2, Pay for the Lawyer
3, Be a witness in her divorce against the dad, the abuse etc
4, Have you mom live with you (free sitter he he)
5, Have her talk to a counsler and pay for it

Since your mom has no money and has devoted her whole life to him she is able to walk away with 50% of the house, income, pension and more.

That's the only way you are able to help your mom. It isn't your business really why your parents are seperating, 60 or 30 years of age. All you can do now is help her financially!!! and mentally to overcome it.

If you are going to turn him into the IRS, don't forget about your state department of revenue. Those guys are motherfuckers, especially when it comes to sales tax. One phone call and they'll be on him like stink on shit. The IRS is nothing, get him at the state level. Trust me, he'll be fucked for years if he is caught cheating. Even if he's not cheating, he'll be fucked for months once they show up and tear his books apart.

Okay.. I can offer a little insight here..

                              1) Your father can sell the house to someone else prior to the divorce to get it out of his name; however, then there will be public record of the proceeds from the sale, so she'll get 50% of that.

                              2) Dig up anything with money in it, offshore bank accounts, brokerage statements, 401k statements, receipts from his business, merchant bank statements, etc... This shows income. If he is hiding it from the IRS, I'm sure they'd like to know about it (i.e. send a lengthy fax with the docs).

                              3) A good PI and lawyer can work together and you'd be suprised what they'll dig up. If you father is as big an ass as you claim, I'm sure he's cheating on her, and a PI can get the photos and proof for the courts. Hence, he broke the marital contract and will pay the penalty.

                              4) Keep your fingers crossed for a female judge!

                              Good luck!

                              - Dave

If he has a set of books that show his REAL earnings, grab it. Either keep it or photocopy it.... I'd keep it. Compare those numbers to his tax returns.

If you can't find his books, you may have to prove his income by getting copies of bank statements where he deposited any revenues.

If he has a cash business, it could be tougher. BUT, if he is showing losses, you can threaten turning him into the IRS where they could do a net worth assessment on him.... which compares how much he is showing on his tax returns vs. how much he is spending and showing in his bank accounts.

You may not have to go to the IRS though. Doing so may just reduce the total amount of assets he has left to split with your mother. You could use threaten turning him into the IRS to get the fair divorce settlement for your mom. Try not to threaten this in writing or in the presence of anybody though. :o)

Any bank statements, investment summaries, etc. would be good to get copies of.

I'm not sure if you have access to his house while he is there or only when he is out. But, if you can rifle thru his wallet at some point you may find bank cards, and documents that let you know which banks he has accounts with.

My parents have companies and went thru this shit 15 years ago. They are now married 48 years. After lawyers they decided to try it again and so they did.

I was in my late 20's than and stayed far away from taking sites, which was to my benefit because after 1 year of lawyers, screaming and almost divorce they are now happy ( i guess) and in their 70's

Get the best martimonial law attorney in your area. Lawyers who specialize in family/matrimonial law are experts at taking apart the financial worlds of cockholsters like your Dad. If he's got money, they will find it and your mother will get her fair share.

Maybe it's just me, but you should ask some questions before handing somebody a gun. Like, what motive might your dad have for his strange behaviour? Do you think you should get him some help before hanging him? Have you seen a psychiatrist lately? Are you considering a visit? Common grow up wtf.

If he has anything at all to hide then your mum will come out of it with her fair share

Take all of the documents you can lay your hands on and take them to an attorney, have them copied and notorized that you copied the originals, then return the originals to his house. If possible do not let him know that you have done this, while the attorney goes over them with a fine tooth comb. Once the attorney has gone over the documents he will advise you from that point.
