Get one of the reusable cups for the machine that you can use regular coffee grounds in and save even more.

We bought a reusable cup when we got the machine...but haven't tried it yet. The wife's a Timmies addict - so we may have to give their grounds a try.

I heard the reusable cups are a bitch to clean, though.

I like the KCups but their machine is a unreliable piece of shit

Why's that?

We've had no problems...more than a year with it.

I received a machine for Xmas.I have to unplug and turn on/off several times in order for the pump to refill the reservoir ,it's just over a year old.Ready to toss it

That's a good point. The flavours are nice. But I also like the flavour syrups that I can get for $3 from the store..

And tea from a pod? seriously? Just throw some leaves into my tea ball and pour boiling water over top...

Boiling the water takes time. This is not a cheap alternative or I don't think it is. Convenience is the key here.

I didn't really consider the time it takes my electric kettle to boil 1l of water (makes 4 cups of coffee.) There's always something to do around that end of the house that takes 4 minutes. But I do see your point.

Prolly built on a Friday. :winkwink:

Quite a few folks I work with who have Keurigs haven't had problems with theirs. Maybe you just caught a bad break with yours.

Any warranty time left on it?

I gotcha. I am a tea drinker. I think it rocks to just push the button and it is ready. Also a household of one or so would benefit less from this invention.

Keurig is convenience ...

But the BEST single cup of joe you will ever make comes from this bad boy:

http://www.coffeehouseconversation.c...ot/mokapot.jpg

The secret is that you NEVER wash it out with detergents .... simply rinse it with hot water when done ...

The more 'seasoned' your moka pot becomes, the more character your coffee will have!

Keurigs are awesome as shit. however I still prefer my french press over anything. I dont care for the pot posted above. I see the function, but I dont care for the outcome.

I love my Keurig for instant coffee, but I would still rather make a pot of it. The Keurig doesn't make a strong cup of joe.
