    Fake online Reviews

Looks like there is a crack down on them. Do you look at reviews? It's all over the news here.

Agreed, just read enough of them to make an informed decision and it really is pretty easy to pick out the blatant fake ones most of the time.

I stayed at a hotel last year which was simply awful. I went because the review on Tripadvisor was 4 or 5 stars.
I couldn't believe that all these people actually liked the place when I thought it was horrible.

I kept an eye on the reviews over the months and watched as review after review of 1 review contributors commented how great it was.
Occasionally a real reviewer would come along and say the truth but the owner would slag them off and say that they were rowdy or lying.
Unfortunately, on Tripadvisor there is no way to respond to an owners comments.

Anyway, I tried to leave a couple of poor reviews myself as I was so disgusted that this guy was getting away with it but the reviewes were not accepted.

I guess he uses some outsourcing company or something.

Yeah it's pretty normal to see people looking to buy bulk reviews on sites like Freelancer. I used to read reviews extensively, but I now think they are totally worthless after seeing how many companies are doing this.
