Some of the anti-free speech laws in European countries are outrageous, and far worse than anything currently going on in the U.S. They even outlaw certain political parties and certain books. That's fucked up. Hopefully America will never get to that point.

Makes you wonder what they are trying to hide. Once a government can control your speech, and press, they can control the thoughts of the masses and tyranny is sure to result.

Exactly. What does it matter if you get 20 hits a month and make 10k. Internet businesses aren't usually worth the same as a brick and mortar but $4500 a month in revenue if expenses aren't too great should easily sell in 5 figures. If I had an interest in dealing with the Feds on a regular basis I might pick it up.

Since people think 10k or more for a site generating $4500 a month in revenue is high I would love to see the prices you would take for your site. Not traffic, revenue. I could give a rats ass about a million tgp visitors a month.

I say we transfer the domain name to a chinese bulletproof host, then work on getting spring break pics of the Bush girls. I'm sure their naked drunkenness isn't that hard to come by.

I think you answered your own question. Not many people want to purchase all that potential liability from a site the feds are already watching closely. This isn't just any site. I'm sure the 5 figure offers would come a lot easier, if it were.

Okay, I knew about that stuff, but I wasn't sure if maybe there was more of a fuss about the video or something than I knew. The FBI just made a request right? I mean obviously I'm surprised to see Ogrish for sale. I'm personally kind of squicked out by wounded people, but I think Ogrish is important from a freedom of speech perspective. Joker.com is not a U.S. site and there is only so concerned an American needs to be about the opinions of foreign governments -- not totally unconcerned as we are all human, but there is only so much impact such is likely to have on a U.S. site.

why don't you hire someone to run it for you then?

Because hiring is too much trouble. I've done it in the past and it never really worked out.

When selling a business you need to be upfront with how much money it brings in each year. Gross profit, net, expenses etc.

You can't expect anyone to blindly lay down a 5-figure amount without this info.
