I've never seen a murder or robbery, but was I was robbed once. Fucker came up behind me at a cheap crappy model, stuck a gun in my back, and said "give me your money". I'm like "I don't think so Scooter" and I spun around to take him out... Woke up a few minutes later without my wallet.

Crime is everywhere; It doesn't matter where you live. I live in a small town with a very low crime rate and we had our first murder here last year - stunned all of us. Shit happens. Even in a town of 30k someone is going to get murdered sooner or later.

And I'm supposed to be impressed by China? Give me one and a half billion enslaved people to run the biggest sweatshop in the history of mankind and I'll have 1.5 trillion to invest as well.

China, Cuba, Vietnam - three countries on this entire planet are communist. maybe i'm missing a couple - don't care enough to google. Lenin and Marx believed that communism would sweep the world just because it was so fanfuckingtastic - Stalin knew that was bullshit and 'persuaded' others to join the cause by rolling over them with tanks and cash and weapons.

I'm not against communism - there are countries in the world where the poor are so dumb and exploited that communism makes sense. Cuba was the prime example. Once you have them semi-educated and healthy it's time for some form of democratic free market government. Vietnam will get there, already well on its way economically. China won't be red forever.

Communism is for people that enjoy getting beaten on a daily basis.

On reading the wiki for American exceptionalism, I discovered that there's a movement called "postnationalism".

In which case, I congratulate both America and Russia for remaining nationalistic, and in their own ways exceptional :)
