Keyword planner tool - exact broad phrase

How do we get exact/broad/phrase numbers in new keyword planner tool?
I am reading articles from 2 months ago and they seemed to have had the same issue as today - all these volumes shows up the same.
I can not believe this major bug is still not fixed...

In AdWords? You still can see the difference between the three, but does not include modified

Where exactly do you see this view?
For me it only show exact number (there is an option to choose broad or phrase but number does not change).
I thought that I can not find it, but I read some articles about it so it was not just me.

"No match type data for search volume

With Keyword Tool, we showed you broad match statistics by default with the ability to get data for other match types, like phrase and exact match. But with Keyword Planner, you'll get historical statistics only for exact match."

It's in the keyword planner. Check the option for upload keywords, then you can mix match types. They made it a little more difficult to find but still there.

I'll add screen shots later, watch the Eagles go undefeated for this season ;)

As promised...

In the keyword planner (assuming this whole time you are talking about AdWords), click on the link that says "Enter or upload keywords to see how they perform" seen here: http://screencast.com/t/yhSC4IugJY

Now you can enter in different variations: http://screencast.com/t/tfJn1dDQAZB0

Click on "GET ESTIMATES" then you are taken to this page: http://screencast.com/t/WBX08B4FA

As you can see, there are NO stats, but that is because you have not set a default bid price at the top: http://screencast.com/t/NQIslo7h make sure to click "Get Detailed Estimates" after you enter the bid

I put in $10 and now you can see how the numbers change: http://screencast.com/t/d8NYh7DYa

To view the specific keywords, click on the link that says "segment by keyword" here: http://screencast.com/t/rHH4DJfQJw

And there you have it

Thanks for your time, however this is irrelevant to what I was talking about. Maybe it was not 100% clear that I am talking about search volume.

Volume example from old keyword tool for this keyword:

mature dogging 8,100 searches/month, competition LOW
phrase "mature dogging" 3,600 searches/month, competition LOW
exact [mature dogging] 1,600 searches/month, competition LOW

If we go your way we can only see 0 clicks which is pretty useless information when trying to find out search volume...

So any way to get these volume numbers somewhere else? Or since google does not provide them it means no way to know? But that would be huge thing for everybody working with keywords, even hard to believe...

nobody is missing these important statistics? Seo gurus, how do you work without knowing (except exact) search volume? Broad may not mena much, but phrase is important to know.

I am confused too.

Seems they stopped showing avg. monthly search numbers for exact match KW which is fucked up.

"For example, let's say your keyword is dark chocolate. If you want to check that keyword's average monthly searches, we'll show you the same stats whether you use a broad, phrase, or exact match type with dark chocolate. Traffic estimates like clicks and cost, on the other hand, do take into account keyword match types. For example, if you get estimates for a list of broad match keywords, we'll take into account any overlap between those keywords."

I think the only number they show is [exact] match number. And they no longer show phrase and broad.
SEO gurus and experts - how do you work without this information? I means its the starting point when researching a keyword. Crucial point.

I see your point and I noticed the same problem.

People are not answering here after so many days probably for two reasons:

1) They don't know what you are talking about, because most people in this forum don't even know what Keyword Research is.

2) People who know about it, don't share their knowledge, for example ICY, he's an expert in this and I don't see he posting here. I also saw some guy I can't remember his nick that always talks about Keyword Research, and I don't see he posting here either.

Most likely, Google just stopped showing that information, for the simple fact that they don't want webmasters to get too much info to challenge google. There is really no other way to get that info, except by guessing.

uhh... impressions are pretty much showing you search volume, so what are you looking for then?

a lot of SEO guys I know use the new tool and like it a bit better than before as it is more accurate, you can exclude search partners and analyze match types better.

SAME tool, just another button that says "get estimates" shows you this:

Don't know what else you are looking for, but says "search volume" right there

I answered it, but possibly don't understand exactly what he is looking for.

You can still find search volume easily with new tool.

Problem that others face when sharing information, like myself, is it opens the door to tons of people asking questions. I got a few people hitting me up on IM asking where this is at or if I can get them an AdWords account so they can use it

People don't "hide" information, but rather don't want to be annoyed by those who are to lazy to try and find it themselves. Not saying the OP is, but when you get messages like "saw your post on GFY, can I send you a text file of keywords that you can get me estimates for?" sure, I've got nothing else to do.

From Google's perspective, why not make people sign up for an AdWords account... you already have them setup, now you can harass the shit out of them until the start paying you

Not sure why it is so difficult to understand after I explained it more than once:
I am looking for PHRASE and BROAD volume. Broad is not that important, but phrase is.

This is search volumes from previous keyword tool:

mature dogging 8,100 searches/month, competition LOW
phrase "mature dogging" 3,600 searches/month, competition LOW
exact [mature dogging] 1,600 searches/month, competition LOW

In current keyword planner we can only see that 1600 number (now 2700). And can not see 3600 (very important) and 8100.

I don't know if I can be more clear than that.
