Thats a long way to walk backwards :2 cents:
Black cop should've beaten the shit out him screaming 'For Rodney King, bitch, for Rodney King'. And then testified how Zimmerman resisted arrest and was racist to authority. :2 cents:

What sucks is two black people, evidently of extraordinary courage and principle, defended Zimmy either because they knew him or it is the law to do so. Even if they were wrong in your eyes, they had the balls to step up. And they still get their ghetto pass took. Sad. The guy may be a douche, as is everyone who judges based on skin alone, but to tar and feather everyone who doesn't say he should be made into chimichangas is bad too.

Friends say George Zimmerman has betrayed and abandoned those closest to him and is a 'powder keg ready to blow'

Retired physician?s assistant and Vietnam veteran Mr Donnelly and his wife Leanne Benjamin, who owns a real estate company in Lake Mary, stepped up for Zimmerman in his hour of need.

They each provided powerful testimony at his trial asserting that it was Zimmerman, not teenager Trayvon Martin, who could be heard screaming for help in one particular 911 call on the night of February 26 last year.

Having met by virtue of Leanne?s company sharing a building with the insurance firm for which Zimmerman once worked, the couple became so close to the younger man that they regarded him like a son.

Mr Donnelly took Zimmerman to buy the suits, shirts and ties he wore at court. He taught him to tie a Windsor knot.

Zimmerman in turn wrote a Father?s Day card to Mr Donnelly in which he described him as ?the father I never had.?

And a Mother?s Day card he sent to Leanne expresses his deep love and gratitude for everything she had done for him.

Yet in the weeks since Zimmerman?s acquittal his treatment of his wife and of the friends who supported him has left this couple, once such staunch supporters, feeling ?hurt, angry and used.?

The couple ? who suffered death threats for their testimony - have not had any contact with Zimmerman since the day he was acquitted.

Leanne revealed: ?It?s very sad for us. To not even get a phone call or a text after the fact saying thank you for helping me or I appreciate your support?it really stings.

On hearing the news of yesterday?s altercation Leanne described Zimmerman as ?a powder keg ready to blow.?

She and her husband expressed ?relief? that nobody had been hurt. Both had been living in fear that, in his post-acquittal ?recklessness? Zimmerman would ?get himself into a situation? and end up hurt or dead.

Mr Donnelly admitted: ?I?m fearful for him, for what he might get himself into. I would take that gun of his and throw it to the bottom of the nearest lake.

?He?s burned every bridge that he?s ever had. And I don?t know how he?s going to come back because his bridges are gone.?

Im sure there is going to be a term coined for this behavior after high profile cases. It seems to affect the people involved greatly. Let's focus on the facts and not no limit nigga for a moment. It would seem his wife is out for her own interests. The divorce, the life insurance thing she wants. I don't know, but I'd blow a gasket too.
Now, on the other hand, his behavior is a tad bizarre, but the guy was put through the ringer, and regardless of what you might think, I'm sure he feels like shit for taking a life. I'm sure he feels like a lone wolf who has just had the world lifted off his shoulders to find no one really wants him. I don't give a shit about him either way. No one is going to kill to him. The media is going to kill him.

And the 911 call Zimmerman made before the incident, requesting permission to pursue him, in which he was advised not to... proves it.

If anyone was to be shot in self-defense, it should have been Zimmerman.

If you pursue me, and try to detain me, and you're clearly not a police officer... I'm fighting back. And I'll have the right to...

Not the other way around.

Clearly you have no idea of the evidence presented in court.

You still defend a child molesting, wife beating, cop hitting, kid killing, out of control cop wannabe. What a surprise.

Then there's this gem, the piece of shit was cheating on his wife before, during, and after all this.

Pretty common in domestic abuse cases. I wouldn't expect anything less. :2 cents:

Hopefully they'll be able to retrieve the video on the iPad to see what happened.

Upon being arrested in Florida for domestic violence the victim becomes the state. The assaulted may drop charges but because the state has become the victim only the Prosecutor can make the decision not to prosecute.

So Mrs Zimmer dropping charges should have nothing to do with what comes next.

well, apparently it has to do with the 'no weapon'. cause there is no weapon, there is no 'charges' that needed to be dropped/not dropped, etc etc

why that lawyer going on about the gun being in the car is very strange, and the police chief stating that either zimmerman or the lawyer is lying

i read all this as someone goes to jail, someone gets charged. the idea that someone isn't being charged because 'no weapon was found', is a little bizarre.

but, the word 'zimmer' is in this case, so we have been 'bizarre'd' before

So the charges weren't "Domestic Violence" then. Domestic Violence seldom involves a weapon.

Considering his own lawyer has now dropped him (except for the NBC case where he may clean up in fees), nobody wants anything to do with Zimmerman anymore.

Even his good friends who testified for him and got death threats for it haven't heard a peep since from him. No visits, phone calls or texts. Before, he said he considered them to be the parents he never had and got them mothers and fathers day cards. Their exact words were they feel "used." Can't say I am shocked though. It is the same guy that fattened up for his trial for a reason.

Where I live if one person damages property in a domestic case its considered domestic violence, is it that way in Florida? I saw Zimmermans Attorney on CNN last night saying Zimmerman did break his wifes Ipod.

FLORIDA Statute Domestic Violence:

?Domestic violence? means any assault, aggravated assault, battery, aggravated battery, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, aggravated stalking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death of one family or household member by another family or household member.

Key Word "ASSAULT" in Florida means:

An ?assault? is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.

But hey this is Florida, so who knows.

.

_Richard_ 09-11-2013 05:45 PM

so it's domestic violence, cut and dry

how can the family 'drop charges' in this case?
