It is like an updated version of Aesop's "lion and the mouse".

Long ago, in a far of distant galaxy called Los Angeles, I worked in the small, small world of LA porn. I used to see TB all the time. He was "A" list male talent, one of the big lions like TTboy and Randy West and Randy Spears that made the big bucks. Me? Well I was "C-list" and a prop compared to those woodsman that ruled the wood.

As I always happened to have some weed, and that hippie happy to share air about me, I would often puff puff pass to Byron during our breaks on those long hours at the set.

One day I showed up for a gang bang shoot and the night before I had been drinking. The hangover was bad enough but not having any weed to offset the nauseousness I was a hot mess. However, there was Tom sharing a bowl with up and coming stud Nick East. I humbly asked for a helpful toke, explaining my condition, hard enough because I prefer being the sinsemilla santa and never like to be a mooch, but having smoked them out both more times than I could count I felt ok with it enough to ask.

Tom looked at me. Took a big hit. Passed the full bowl to Nick. "No man. Don't have enough."

I was a little shocked. But hey, whatever, man, its cool. I can dig that. But one day, one day you are going to ask me for something. And I am a fucking scorpio, and scorpio's are notorious for never forgetting even the slightest slight. Luckily, realizing character flaws and changing, transforming, to seek a higher ideal is also typical of scorpios.

All was forgiven and only happier times given precedence. Tom is almost as iconic as Ron Jeremy. I know he has had his ups and downs just like everyone else in the biz that has been around as long. I wish him only the best.

The Moral of the story is...

It is far better to grow Homegrown and smoke it than to be the big wood that got burned one too many times.

It's basically an organization to help people in the biz who aren't always at the top of the food chain, i.e performers, crew, etc. To change things for the better, to create structures that make the business safe and prosperous for everyone who has the privilege to be a part of it and to weed out corrupt and illegal elements.
