This is a horrible crime, but there doesn't seem to be any debate over it - it's a murder, straight and simple. It's interesting (and horrible) because they it was a random murder only because they were bored, but there is no debate over it, no discussion about guilt or innocence.

ANYTHING can be given a spin, if it will create controversy that can sell. Mainstream media has proven this time after time.

You could for example start by saying Lane was targeted because Lane was white, that boredom had nothing to do with it but that it was a racially-driven murder. That this might be true or not is irrelevant.

But as was stated previously, the people who make money by exploiting controversy aren't interested because it doesn't fit their revenue model.

I doubt Australia will succeed in boycotting visiting the USA over this. That's about what it would take to change our gun laws here. If people started boycotting our country and we started losing money I think our lawmakers would finally make some decisions. Right now they simply don't care. These black teenagers actually stole the weapon of choice. So in this case banning the assault weapons would've have helped. However, why are teens getting ahold of these guns everywhere?
