    This day in 1969....

    WOODSTOCK
    Best flipping time of my life, no doubt!!!

    While the government had its ass buried deep in the Vietnam War, I was trucking down a highway with my thumb out heading to Woodstock after being warned by my parents that there would be consequences if I went. When I returned home, I packed my clothes and moved out.......

                          am 99.999999% sure that "brown acid" gets a mention from some hippy dude on stage in the woodstock docu film, but then again I could just be trippin!

                          on a less serious note "window pane's" were they small sacks of liquid lsd or just clear jell?

                          on a side note "never trust a hippy or a punky bambi"

                                  Yep you are right, it is in the docu film and was also mentioned in the festival..... we were so tosted, you could hardly hear the garbled announcements....that place was huge.

                                                          I was in the back of a nine seater station wagon parked on the New York state thruway watching people with backpacks walk between the cars and listening to my father cursing the gawd damn hippies under his breath.

                                                          We were coming south on our way home from 2 weeks in the Adirondacks.

                                                          I had no idea that I was witnessing history on that day.
