I figure I'll pass into the nothingworld when I'm 96 years old. Seeing other family members work themselves to death or not being happy after retirement - this helps me set some long term goals in life. So when do you think you'll kick the bucket?

I'd be happy if I made it to say 70... 75? It would be nice to live longer I suppose (as long as I was healthy). I just wouldn't want to turn into a "burden" basket case on my family. I'd rather just zap the fuck out of a massive heart attack, maybe a car accident... maybe a really fat chick sitting on my face depriving me of my oxygen.

I fear that I would become a cripple/invalid and people would have to take care of me... I'd most likely off myself before I would allow that to happen.

Harmon, your words speak awesomeness. However offing yourself will probably void any life insurance that you might have.

But... what if you bought life insurance to cover yourself for a life extension program like http://www.alcor.org/ but then you left a HUGE life insurance policy for yourself. Sure you're dead but then you'd become reanimated and not dead anymore so after a legal battle might be able to claim it all (if that insurance company isn't bankrupt) and outlive everybody you've ever known!
