Actually there was such a thread a time ago about this movie, and people who read the book found the movie inappropriate. The protagonist is taller and bigger. And Tom Cruise is not.
However I've seen "Oblivion" - I liked it - cool movie and great idea.
I've had some laugh with "Identity Thief" - not the top notch, but worked.

I tried reading one of the books after seeing the movie. It read like it was written for teenagers. Very lazy writing, with sentences being no longer than 4 to 8 words. Maybe some people like that style.

Short sentences. Incomplete. He likes them. Loves them, really. Six word limit. Good for some folks. Not for me. No short attention span here. How about you? I shrugged. Why did I finish it? Dunno. I shrugged.

If that type of writing appeals to you, then this is the book for you. It drove me crazy. The main character, Jack Reacher is really not very likeable. The plot is predictable and not very interesting. It just plods along in short, incomplete sentences with everybody shrugging. Blah!

This is what goes for good writing these days? I read the first 3 chapters of The Killing Floor and deleted the book from my Kindle.

it was, BUT........ if you read the books, then having the short little fucker playing the part does'nt make it too belivable

Who the hell reads books. Dont compare movies to books it is based on, just look at the movie itself. (havent seen this one btw, will watch it)

It felt like a 90's thriller/mystery. In a good way.
