To the folks who grew up with Playboy, when it was the first, the biggest, and only porn publication, its fall from grace may be sad. For the rest of us, it's a recognizable brand, without any allure. Times change, tastes change, technologies change, competition grows. Playboy has a solid place in history, in museums, and in documentaries. It'll live on in social consciousness like Marilyn Monroe who seems like she's still alive, even for those of us who were born years after her death, thanks to media's romanticizing of the past.
