    Mr. Rogers dead :(

I'm afraid Mr. Rogers has passed away. That's very sad. I used to love to take the trolley to the land of Make Believe. I had a lot of fun watching Mr. Rogers when I was a kid and I bet a lot of you did, too.

For anyone who is interested, PBS is doing a Mr. Rogers Retrospective type show right now.

I see someone else also posted on this. Guess I'm a little late, but it's important enough for two threads.

one of -if not *the* - most beloved childern's tv hosts in America. He was a very gentle man that taught a number of us to use our imaginations.

Mr. Rogers is an American icon. He was involved with the very first publicly supported television stations in America. He hosted "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood" which is a children's TV show that focuses on imagination, diversity and a lot of the problems kids face.

He also did awesome stuff like go on tours of factories that make trumpets, pretzels, ice cream and other stuff kids love.

He's right up there with Big Bird and Sesame Street on the American children's icons map.
