Non-hyphenated .net or Hyphenated .com
I know, the age old question.
Which would you go for? |

I've always thought the the one key phrase (if short enough) was fine. But hyphens work too.
But now days, really, it's all about the promotion and popularity. Unless you buy a popular single word domain name.

If it's just one hyphen
Hyphen-ated.com then I would consider it but I peronally think that Hyphenated.net is better Imo there isn't much SEO difference (if any) between .net and .com |

sometimes even that - but mostly because it makes the url better recognizable
a german prefers bust-my-nut.com over bustmynut.com

Actually not worried about the SEO aspect, I'm going for "branding". For this particular niche one of my biggest competitors is using a three word hyphenated .com (although they now own the non-hyphenated .com which redirects to the hyphenated URL) the non hyphenated .com I want is being sold for $2k, I was thinking of going the hyphenated route then buying the non-hyphenated version down the road and redirect it just as my competitor did. Another option I'm considering is a three word non-hyphenated, although not super keen on it. |

Seriously if you have to ask get out of the business. Nobody takes any hyphen-anything seriously. Buy the name and stop half-assing things

After some deliberation I'm actually now leaning towards the three word non-hyphenated version. It actually may work better with the marketing strategy I had in mind. |
