I was imagining mainly in vehicles and garages, they have had their main supply lines cut off which must be causing issues. I would have expected their ammo dumps to be on the borders at best.

Usually when an explosion THAT big goes off in syria, it's Israeli in origin. And Israel has stated numerous times that they would attack any advanced weapon systems that Russia delivered to syria (s3 ground to air missiles or something). Maybe they are making good on that promise?
