    I have to hand it to some of these POV shooters

    It's about time some of these POV shooters out there get a kudos of some kind. At least the ones who are shooting it well that is. Not all are. But to be able with camera in hand to catch all the angles, being mindful of and working the light in the room, keeping in mind what other positions they need to get to, and keeping on top of any one of a hundred other things that can and do go wrong, all the while keeping it up and focusing enough on the fucking so it stays hard?

    These guys are like sex jugglers. :D


    Some of it is of course quite bad. But for the few who are consistantly cranking out quality POV that actually sells, it's about time you were acknowledged.


    Sorry, no samples. But all sorts of POV stuff is easily found on pretty much any of the big tubes. But then again anyone who actually knows their way around this business won't need samples, or names for that matter. They just know. But feel free to post whatever POV you want, if you think it qualifies.

              Yeah in case some of you don't know, POV guys mostly work alone, they have no 3rd party camera guy working the "angles" and watching. They're doing or keeping track of three or four things at once, all the while fucking.

                              I know from well over 10 years of promoting it, evaluating it for TGP's, MGP's, etc, having poured over literally thousands upon thousands of such scenes during those years I was doing that. You don't have to actually do it to know that when it's done right it's actually quite incredible, and when it's done badly it's so often downright unwatchable.

                              And I'm sure for the really good shooters it actually probably is quite easy. I don't know. What I do know is that there are a lot of guys out there who can barely manage adequate fucking, let alone working a camera et al.

                              If you have a clue, why not post your stuff? Your smiley-laffies only get you so far dude.

                                                      I agree...it's not something that "everyone" can do, or has a knack for.
                                                      As Rob said above, one of the male talents that Rob & I have shot, and another one we shoot sometimes that just came to mind, can't do it at all.

                                                      Since I do it all the time, and right from "day one", it seems natural.
                                                      I like doing my shoots that way, and as stated above, since there's not "a bunch of people in the room", it makes it easier for me to not be distracted, and frankly, a more one on one setting works better for my style of shooting.

                                                                      Well since that is the stylistic look of the entire site, I felt it appropriate to show proper samples of the content that users will be getting if they sign up. Literally every scene on the site will be shot with that style: ring light on the camera and one light on the side.

                                                                              Well, you've answered the question quite literally so I can't fault you for that. I suppose you could even take it one step further if pressed and say that's what the specs said or that's what client wanted if that's the case, which would seem odd to me. But it still begs the question- why? Why did anyone make that choice instead of say, a mix of different lighting scenarios to feature on the tour such as a few bright daylight scenes, some indoors under daylight or mixed lighting, some at twilight, one or two in the relative dark etc. Something about the sameness of those dark scenes just seems kind of claustrophobic to me or something and not even in a moody purposefully done way. I'm not saying the sex action is bad. Just the repeated dark backgrounds look unusual to me. Just my opinion.

                                                                                      I have to agree with you here. I'd stick to natural light any day over strobes, ring lights, etc. Looks like it was shot by a first timer with their new slr with the flash on.

The webmaster in me however has always known of it's marketable value. I just never got into it much personally. But I've come to realize over the years since it first became popular that when it's done by someone who knows what he's doing it can be downright incredible.

                                                                                                  I think what likely put me off was all the really BAD pov that's been floating around since post-2000. Grainy, poor lighting, horrible camera angles, poorly executed sex even. If the chemistry is off with any of that in fact it becomes a train wreck.

                                                                                                          Ya...with the sudden influx in the early 2000's of "anyone can snag a video camera @ Best Buy and do POV"...web camming from home, etc...w/o the right tools/lighting, or some sort of photo/video shooting background, it can get sloppy.
                                                                                                          Although, I must admit, sometimes I have done that intentionally...but not usually.
                                                                                                          And I do realize some folks do that intentionally, as well...but you can tell those instances, from people who just don't know what they are doing.
