    No one at pimproll will answer

    I need some long mp4s. Not flvs, but mp4s. I signed up as a Pimproll affiliate but it turns out Pimproll doesn't have any long hosted mp4s. They have a bunch of long hosted flvs though, so I wrote them a couple times and asked if I could download some of their flvs, convert them, and host them on my own affiliate site, which would be sending them traffic (I hope). They wrote back wondering why I didn't use their flvs, and didn't answer the question about downloading.

    I just need mp4 content. I know I could just rip anything from anywhere, but I don't especially want to use files that someone is going to complain about later. Any suggestions?

          They own a board you can complain on if you can't reach anyone from the sales team.
          They usually are on top of things and reply fast.

                      Update: No luck getting in touch by Skype. Glen did reply by email and has been very nice but has not answered the question, so I suspect they do not want to explicitly give permission, which makes me nervous about doing it.

                                  I do not mean to imply that he is ignoring me. He has replied several times, but not answered the question. As I said, I suspect it is because he is reluctant to give explicit permission, which I completely understand. I just, respectfully, need to know.

                                      no disrespect, but you suspect wrong, we want your traffic, we want your sales, and we are happy to let people use some content to get it. But Glen has been doing webmaster support for PimpRoll for 10 years. you have 3 posts on GFY and an account that is less than a month old. He is performing what is called due diligence. You see it is a waste of his time and our money to give content away to surfers, or people who just want it for personal use or to share with their friends. As much as Glen has a responsibility to you and other webmasters, to provide help, he has a responsibility to me, to protect our content and our brands as well.

                                      just answer his questions and if it makes sense to us, he will give you what you want.

                                                  I am also kind of unhappy with the arrogance of pimproll support?
                                                  Been having your guys back for a long time since I like Ross but the support I am receiving is slow and unfriendly.
                                                  I hope my amount of posts and maturity of my gfy account is good enough for that.

                                                                      I don't promote Pimproll but I didn't see anything arrogant about PR_Phil's post. Sounded reasonable to me.

                                                                          In all my time dealing with pimproll i have not had a bad experience. Both from an affiliate and a Media Seller. I had one questionable issue but it was Corrected and Apologized about very promptly and the situation was dealt with in mins. I tip my hat to these guys. IMO one of the best Support People in the Biz there.
