Back when I used to play five-a-side, there was this guy who used to play for Southend reserves who'd come along, he used to run rings around us, we'd mix the teams up each week, he would score a lot of goals, however almost without fail whichever team he was playing for would lose. haha, neither soccer not NFL is exactly manly. One is fully of 'men' who take a dive and cry if you just look at them funny, while the other is full of men who cant play a full game of their own sport and need full armour before they go near one another. Neither Rugby nor AFL use pads, neither one has players who dive, both have hits as hard if not harder than NFL and both have teams that stay on the field for the entire game.

Suarez is a winner in a crappy soccer team, he's just too good for Liverpool (a mid-table team). Before going to England he played in AJAX (2007-2009) and he was named club Player of the Year, after that he was named captain of the team and scored 35 goals in 33 games!! That year he scored 49 goals for AJAX, 49!! The next year he scored his 100th goal and joined an elite team with Marco Van Basten, Johan Cruyff and Dennis Bergkamp. In the 2010 world cup Uruguay was 4th and he played a major role, scoring 3 goals and preventing Ghana from winning using his hand in the quarterfinal game. He then played the America cup, scored four goals for Uruguay as they won a record fifteenth Copa América and was named Player of the Tournament. He's now Uruguay's all-time record goalscorer with 35 goals.

Indeed, so he destabilizes the team, like the semi-pro who played in 5-a-side with me. It's far better to have a balanced team, I'd much prefer Liverpool to cash in and buy 2 or 3 decent £10 -£15 million players with that money, rather than have this guy who plays for himself and ruins our passing game.

Suarez scores goals, but his loss of possession causes more goals to be conceded, his lack of passing prevents other player's scoring. Suarez is a Cookoo; at first glance he appears to be the most successful there, but when you look closer he's having a destructive effect on the team as a whole.

Aguero and Rooney are no better than him IMHO, but I agree there are other good players in the premier league of course. Without a doubt he's amongst the best, I think no one can argue that. Even Beckham said he's incredible, not that I like Beckham but he's considered a star in England.

Soccer is about scoring goals, that is what Suarez does. It's not about passing the ball. And if he loses the ball... he's a striker, the team has 2 more lines of defense before the other team can actually score, you can't blame him from Liverpool's errors in defense.

Rooney you could be right, especially these days but Aguero is far better imo, he is a complete team player, Suarez will often get fouled and lay on the ground crying for almost a minute while his team mates are trying to cover his ass. I just don't like him personally, nothing against his talent, I just don't like guys who think they are bigger than the club.

Why do we never see NFL fans comparing their sport to rugby? It's always the rugby fans getting all worked up. Here's a thought, why aren't there many rugby players in the NFL, surely if they were good enough they would want to make $$$$$. Or do they just play for the love of the game?
