            train was probably late, so he was flooring it, but yep you would think that the people that track the trains, would have noticed at that speed.

                                The 'experts' are saying that just can not happen - The driver (and witnesses) have said it did - No more fast trains in Spain for a while...

                                                I am planning my annual trip to Europe this September. I am going to Amsterdam for our annual company meetings then flying to Athens. I was planning a day trip to Corinth from Athens by train -- scenic trip they say.

                                                With the train accident in France last week and now this tragedy in Spain maybe I'll use other transport. Interesting they were both intercity high speed trains though -- coincidence?

                                                    I don't think that either are/were high speed trains? (TGV etc)
