Work With Your Wife?

I have a wife that's eager to do her share and do a little more than just making food and cleaning for me.

She's computer savvy and knows a lot of things about the porn industry and other areas in mainstream.

How would you put your wife / husband to work? Would you have them do something different or work with you to maximize your efforts? I have a feeling with certain things a newb would just get in the way.

I don't want her to do menial tasks, I want her to feel accomplished too.

I have two girlfriends, the one I had kids with is a Programmer but won't waste her time working on adult projects because everyone she's spoken with, in an attempt to generate some business, has been a cheap fuck wanting to pay third world rates. She bills out at $90 an hour in her day job.

The other has been instrumental in convincing me that I should be shooting porn, even if it's just on the side. She'll be right in there helping out.

My wife and I have worked together for over 7 years. Just have to set some boundaries is all, like who is in charge and that they not to take it personal if they screw up and you correct them.

Sometimes the other spouse does not like to be told what to do from what I have heard from others. As long as you set the terms going in and they understand it is just like any other job and you are the boss then you will not have issues.

So to sum it up, just make ground rules and talk before you go into it because i have seen it backfire and it cause issues in the relationship.

My wife actually talked me into going into the adult biz and we worked together for years back when we had sites (I sold them back when NationalNet started to take off). She would find and shoot all the content and I would build the sites. It worked out very well for us.

Great feedback guys! I guess since both of your best interests are at stake, the wife is likely to be a positive influence on the work you do, given the rules/boundaries.

We are about to try some of my projects that I haven't personally had the time for. Can't wait to see what happens.

Your wife could be a great asset. I've seen some small businesses, where the wife can really do things well, that the husband can't and vice versa. You can also have her play the bad cop and you the good cop as another strategy if you need to.

The family

I've worked for a few husbands & wives. If their home life is good, then all is good, if there are home stresses or especially financial stresses, then they will have problems. Or worse they are at each others throats and want you to pick sides.

I would never work for a husband & wife ever again. Make a minor mistake the day one of them is having a bad day, suddenly you have 2 people ganging up on you.

Much rather deal with one person. Either they're good or bad. You stay or leave.

my long time girlfriend (almost wife haha) works here in the studio with me as a shift manager, and does shows when its slow.. Works out good. Really rare mexican woman, not jealous at all.
