I kind of like this one.

What exactly does the law say?

It authorizes people to protect themselves or their property by using deadly force in response to "unlawful intrusion" by a "public servant." The measure is essentially just a public-servant-specific amendment to the state's 2006 so-called Castle Doctrine bill, which allows people to do whatever they have to to stop someone from illegally entering a home or car. Indiana is reportedly the first state to specifically allow the use of force against police. The new rule was passed with a nudge from the National Rifle Association, which has pushed permissive gun laws around the country.

I'm perfectly fine with that. I have no problems with people pulling guns on police so they can then be summarily executed on the spot by trained professionals and removed from the gene pool.

"ILLEGAL entry" I'll assume that means without warrant. Cops who take it upon themselves to kick people's doors in without a warrant or actual probable cause should run the risk of the person inside defending themselves.

I will not bother reading the link put up by the tool, because he is a tool but the fact of the matter is the Indiana Supreme Court said if the cops enter your house illegally, you are free to sue them. Needless to say, the people of Indiana are not very happy about it.

How are you going to determine it to be "illegal"? Thats a pretty risky judgement to make on the fly, in a very disorienting situation to armed police officers where you are betting your life and that of those around you.

Last time the police came to my house it was 3am and was for a domestic disturbance (which was a few doors down). There was three of them, two of them armed with shotguns.

Know of someone who was rudely awaken in the middle of the night by an officer kicking in the door. By instict she grabbed her beside weapon and opened fire killing said officer. She was acquited of all charges..
