I know. Its hell sometimes when you REALLY want a hoagie and the nearest one is across the Atlantic. We've got to convince one of the American sandwich chains to take a chance and open a few stores over here!

Best Sando is Peppered Turkey breast, mayo, sprouts, avocado , cheddar and provolone with a bit of garlic salt on wheat bread !!

Power sando for a pre-surf or pre-ride session .

there are a few subways in central London. A new one just opened up on the strand but they aren't the same as a deli hoagie..plus they are priced for the tourists. They are however the one place in London where you can ask for a pickle and they give you the right thing.

I just had a great ham and swiss sub from Fazolis

My favorite sandwich is one white bread. You take one slice of bread and put crunchy peanut butter on it. You take the other slice of bread and put miracle whip on it. Then you cut up some onion and tomato. Put the onion on one side and the tomato on the other. Salt and Pepper...this creation is what I call a peanut butter and miracle whip sandy!!! YUMMMMM

my dad eats peanut butter and miracle whip sandwiches...atleast he used to. I can remember eatting them as kid and loving them but then somewhere around my teens my better judgement kicked in.


Cream cheese and jelly is still nice though even if it is low fat cream cheese these days.

Mine is probably like a cheese steak, but they call it something else here. There is a small hole in the wall deli here that has like 200+ different types of sandwiches and they call the one I like a CheeseSteak ala Warno............ it's awesome........ they split a huge hoagie down the middle and put slices of mozzarella on it then pack it full of simmered steak topped with lettuse and tomato. It is stock with mayo but I hate mayo........ get that and an order of his bacon/cheese potato skins and I am in heaven.............

Tam, where I come from we call that a webber. It isn't usually mozzarella but you can have it. My sister would litteraly ride her bike 3 miles each way to get them in the summer.

If were talking Deli Sandwhiches then, Herb K gots to step into here and throw it down.

1. Philly cheesesteak - Since I am from and live in the Philly burbs now, There are a ton of places to get a kick ass cheesesteak. The reason they rock out here?, its the amoroso's rolls. Nothing else is acceptable.

2. Hero in Brooklyn - Boards Head Cracked Pepper Turkey, Swiss cheese with mayo, lettuce, tomates and pickles. That is sandwhich heaven.

Also, Subway aint a hoagie, thats a bullshit excuse for one, as much as philly has the game cornered on steaks, we also have an equally tight game in the hoagie - hero game.

Thats the real deal.
