Hobbies anybody? Apart from porn, that is.

What kind of hobbies are you guys into?

The reason I ask is pretty simple. GFY is full of web designers and other sorts of developers. Plenty of you guys might create a hobby-related website or blog just for the hell of it -- not so much expecting to get rich as just wanting to relax and create something about a topic that interests you.

Meanwhile, I've always got thousands of domains just sitting around gathering dust. There's a chance I might have something related to your hobby of choice. Maybe the domain I've got in the pile is better than something you'd hand-register. Maybe I can let you use my domain for free. We could arrange some sort of buy-it-later option, maybe, and you could always back out without even paying if you later decide not to continue. You'd keep the site you built, and I'd keep the domain you were using. It seems pretty painless.

The same applies to my adult domains too. But they're only a small fraction of my portfolio.

Thoughts?

Cycling. I was invited to go on a afternoon long ride with a friend - packed lunches - and had a blast, although I was completely unprepared for it. Since then I bought me a decent starter road bike, a Fuji Aboslute 1.3 and I've been riding daily.

I rode 12.2 miles today, although that's more than I usually do. It's fun and it's good exercise.

I was negotiating an offer this month actually on HerbalBeer.com, but the guy couldn't scrape together the money even though I offered a flexible installment payment plan. Cycling here too,i do a bit more than 12 miles,usually 80-110km/day 2-3 days a week

Yeah, unfortunately there are so many niches in the universe that I can't collect a dozen domains for everything. I'm long on some things and short on others. The game requires frequent recalibration -- kind of like balancing a stock portfolio. More vegan, more beer, less French aeronautics.

is an example of something that can be adapted as a brand name for raw foods diets.

I did have to stop that hobby when my kid was born... Switched to air rifle shooting. In about a month she will be 5 years old, so i locked up all my guns and gave away all my ammunition and i'm currently in the market for a new hobby...

StandOpposed.com is a good name. Personally, I vote for neither side; and I've stocked domains in the past for both sides of the political dialogue. Free speech is a good thing period.

Not yet... But i'm always willing to help people out with their projects if needed.

The only thing i have laying around in the non-adult section privately is a basic site that uses an amazon i-frame. I use it when i need to discuss problems with non-adult webmasters. I just replicate the problem i have on an adult domain on this mainstream domain when i need suggestions...

I have many other "mainstream"-projects, but they're always linked to my "daytime"-employer, so i cannot post any examples over here

I grew up right next to mountains and snow, but never took up snow boarding. Too bad.

Most of my winter domains are related to skiing and skate skiing, with some for snow removal and coats thrown in.

Some people on here probably don't know what skate skiing is. Several people mentioned running and biking, and they'd probably really dig skate skiing. Basically, during the winter, golf course owners in ski resort towns like Park City create these long winding paths around their land. Then people on a really narrow kind of ski go flying around it in loops -- like running a winding sort of a winter track. It's midway between ice skating and cross country skiing. Good exercise.

5) Working on my house/environment with my own two hands.
6) Percussion drums, guitars: these are kinda abandoned projects since my teen age, but now, when my Home is built, I will have more time for my instruments.

2-) Doom metal (I suggest you to listen Anathema while you are watching the fishes in the aquarium. ahahaha )

Drums ... I've got ElectricXylophone.com on my clearance list.

Honestly, I'm surprised how many call-to-action domains I have related to social issues and politics. 50-100 at least. I've let many of them go because I find few buyers with significant budgets in those areas. Lots to choose from and definitely not priority items for me.

If you'd like to email me, I can list some domains that might fit your #7. As I mentioned to somebody else above, I stock domain inventory for all sorts of perspectives and viewpoints on issues -- just like a person who stocks books for all kinds of readers. Still, I'm reluctant to post overtly political domains here because that might trigger some sort of argument about politics between people. So email is better.
