Use the 95 Billion to Rebuid our Infrastructure

Instead of wasting 95 Billion dollars on a war, we should pump it into our countries infrastructure. Homeland Security should be top on the list, then funding for airlines. Give Amtrak and all public transportation everything they need to renew our mass transit system. Reinvest in bringing all public buildings up to code for fire and security. This would not only leave us safer than going to war, it would also employ hundreds of thousands of working class Americans. True, this won't solve all our problems, but I think its a much better investment for our money.

I say we use the money to clean house in Washington. I don't think I like a single politician out there right now.

Not that I totally disagree with your idea. But fuck the airlines. How many times do we have to bail them out, only for them to lay off more workers. Let the small ones fold the others will pick up the slack.

Just what I was thinking. Most airlines have been losing money for 20 plus years. Management is asking labor to take pay cuts as a solution to be able to borrow more money. I wouldn't give a dime to the airlines until they presented a working business model.

$1400-$2000 for a flight that you're trying to get on in a day or two without advanced purchase. It's stupid. There are times that I've driven 4 or 5 hours for something, stayed overnight in a four star hotel & dropped $250 on a nice dinner and night out instead of throwing away 3 G's on two plane tickets.
