They reported each one to the credit bureaus i did this this for like a year and a half, I paid off/settled negative accounts, then stopped using the credit. I can walk in and get any amount there i want as long as i have 20% collateral.

Other than collecting miles, points, or cash back I can't really see a legitimate reason to use credit cards if you have the cash.

I personally pay entire amount and never been late. My City Thank You card earns 5 points per dollar and I use it for pretty much everything including a pack of gum at 7-11. Why would I carry cash when I can have couple cards with me?

I have desjardins gold visa myself but I prefer capital one visa aspire cash rewards because it gives me better insurance and higher returns. You might want to check it out.
