If you like real beef jerky, you'll like it. Just make sure you have some dental floss handy. :1orglaugh

I keep the little toothbrushes and dental pics with me all the time... in my office in the car etc..

prosciutto is amazing but great jerky is better - both are expensive.

as far as Mike South saying jerky isn't a meal - if i was gonna be lethally injected and they're taking my order for my last meal, jerky is on my list.

and what about pussy? think I would want some pussy

Salmon jerky is terrible but Tuna jerky is pretty good. Get it at Whole Foods and try it.

i never did like jack links. i prefer the oberto beef jerky.

but seriously what did you expect? beef jerky isn't meant to be moist and juicy. jerky by definition is dried meat trimmed of fat, and cut into strips to prevent from spoiling.

it's a snack, it's flavored, and you're supposed to chew on it and enjoy it. however like popcorn it will get stuck in your teeth.

prosciutto is a delicacy...it is SO hard to find the right type...prosciutto has to be massaged with wine every 2 days and smoke dried at exactly the right temperature for an exact amount of time to keep the meat soft and make it almost melt in your mouth...

you have to use a pin made out of animal bone to test and see if it has dried correctly and getting the consistency of the meat so that it is soft but malleable is super hard....

it is literally desert meat, to be consumed with the right wine...it has very little to do with beef jerky...

PR_Glen 07-08-2013 10:23 AM

why are we comparing jerky to prosciutto again?

what's next? Filet vs. slim jims?

Choopa_Pardo 07-08-2013 10:28 AM

I dont like Beef Jerky its either to sweet or not dried out enough, but I eat a stack load of Biltong :) you should also try dried wors or droewors as we used to call it in SA, and if you like BBQ's ( "Braais" in SA) you gotta try boerewors

OH and Biltong comes from the Dutch settlers originally and during the Boer Wars it was one of the principle foods the Boers carried with them
