The Link Dumps That Matter - Anyone Got A List

I did a search and found a lot of link dumps but I found most of them are useless since your link falls off the front page in less than a day and they don't keep an archive.

Sites like this seem useful for getting a link back though.

I'm thinking this is probably a very small list. I don't think buying a list from those that are selling it would be worth the money.

Give a link from a freehosted splog, and make a sticky post on that splog that feeds your hosted blog.....and have a few links to toplists.....and why not post that exact same splog post on Yahoo groups and forums....make that traffic work for you!

Do most yahoo groups allow that? Is it possible to get any traction by building yahoo groups these days?

As far as forums go I would probably want to email the admin before I did any posting like that unless it's a forum that allows that sort of thing.

There are still good Yahoo Groups for adding links and sending messages....as for forums, there a few out there worth listing your blog posts...

Do not expect alot of traffic, and that is the reason I would join some toplists to send them traffic.....you will get more traffic from the toplists after...

Adding your link to link dumps, directories, etc, is absolutely not a profitable way to spend your work time these days nor has it been for years. You'll get no love from the SEs (and maybe even the opposite) and the negligble trickle of low quality traffic will not make you any sales.

I was addressing the OP - he started a recent thread talking about how broke he was, how lately his strategies & sites weren't working, that he hadn't made a new sale since January. He got a bunch of advice & ideas on how to modernize his approach, many of them encouraged him to think outside of the box he'd been working in.

Then he posts in other threads like this about using link dumps & freehosts & other strategies that are outdated & haven't really been effective for years, and will probably continue to not be effective for him.

But whatever, people are certainly free to ignore advice.

Linkdumps are in the past and hardly ever had any good traffic to begin with (a small few luckily sent converting traffic). I probably can't even imagine the huge waste of time it would be to focus on posting to them today for the measly 100-1,000 daily uniques they all together likely send. I own linkdumps.com (nothing great) so ask me how I know..
